Hi all, new to this forum. Have treated myself to a new Fabia SE Comfort 1.0TSI 110PS DSG. 2023
Love the motor and driving with the DSG is a delight, however have owned several previous Skodas all manual so I’m getting used the the DSG way of driving.
Only had the car for 2 weeks and have a couple of questions regarding the use of the DSG box as there appears to be be differing views on line.
1) when stationary at lights etc for a minute or two leave in D hold on the foot break - got that, but if there for a lengthy time put into N or P apply the handbrake ?
2) In slow moving traffic, hold ups, etc leave in D and creep forward using foot brake to control movement or select manual and shift gears yourself ?
The dealer said leave it in D and let it do it’s thing,
I should probably just use my instincts and enjoy the car, but thanks anyway, any useful tips from current DSG owners would be handy.
