2.0 TDI 147KW - NOx sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3 location
Hi @Bap33 , No, disconnecting the sensor triggered a new error - No communication with NOx sensor bank 1 sensor 3 , basically confirming the physical location of the sensor. Initially the error was implausible signal and it was intermittent, triggering every other 2 days , I didnt know which sensor to buy ( without going to the dealership and pay a premium on the part + labor + diagnosing the car ) . So in order to phyisically locate the sensor I did the following: Cleared all the errors on the car with VCDS ( but anyother good tester should work fine ) Went underneath the car and disconnected the sensor which I thought it is faulty With the sensor disconnected I started the car and scanned for DTCs now you have 2 options: a. If you disconnected the correct sensor, you would have the same error name but with a new description ( no communication - instead of - implausible signal ) b. If you disconnected another sensor, you would have another error; example : Particle Matter sensor - no communication - this means that you disconnected another sensor so you should plug it bag, clear the errors and then disconnect another sensor, until you get it right. Of course, first you have to do some digging and narrow down the area where the sensor is located. hopefully I answered your question, I do apologize for my English, it's not my first language.

2.0 TDI 147KW - NOx sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3 location
Thank you, @Breezy_Pete , I found the above mentioned sensor (termination CB ) at a fraction of the price ( ~200 euro ) , coming off a new car (0 km ) which was in an accident during transport, I'm waiting to see if anyone else knows if these 2 are interchangeble or not. In the end, without a clear answer I will go ahead and order the AH/CH sensor. Cheers.

2.0 TDI 147KW - NOx sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3 location
Hello folks, I'm the new owner of a used Kodiaq, first registration 2022 , 2.0 TDI 147kw ( 200 CP ) 4x4 - DTUA engine - 163 k km on the clock After 1 km of driving I got the MIL ON check engine light , upon scanning with VCDS I got 2 faults: Particale Matter sensor - Electrical fault NOx Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3 - Implausible siglan Cleared the errors, after 1-2 km of driving I got the check engine light again, now only the PM sensor - Electrical fault error appeared. I went ahead and ordered a new PM sensor and replaced it and cleared the warnings. everything worked fine for about 20 km, then the Check Engine light came up again, upon testing I got 2 errors: NOx Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3 - Implausible Signal ( P23AD 00 ) SCR NOx Catalyst Bank 1 - Efficiency too low ( P20EE 00 ) Currently I cleared the erorrs and nothing new came up for about 10-15 km, but I am expecting to have the same error again. Anyone knows where this sensor is located exactly? I think it's the one located right next to the Particle Matter sensor on the exhaust . If that's so, the sensor code is 05L 907 807 AH. Does anyone know if 05L 907 807 CB or any other termination works? The new sensor looks the same, it's still made by Bosch . Thank you, Madalin

Second Hand Car - Never been Update (Infotainment systems - 1803)
After I saw a few posts of people going directly to 1941 from 1803 and having the same hardware info as myself ( H56), I have taken the chance and upgraded to 1941 directly . The upgrade went smooth and took about 30 minutes . About a week passed and everything seems in order.

Available coding/adaptation mods
awesome! Now I just need to find a way to do the sfd unlock , are you from Bucharest ?

Available coding/adaptation mods
Hello, this seems to be from another car, I think it is from ID cars, right ? I don’t know if this is supported by Octavia Mk4.

Available coding/adaptation mods
Anyone knows if there is like an 'advanced' kessy function for mk4? To lock the doors when you're walking away, without having to touch the door handle? ( Just like Renault) Thank you !

Add rear USB-C connectors
Hi @blackhawk77 I think pin 3 is for the white LED around the usb C ports, to see them in the dark. You don't need to get pin 4 to the back, that is the data pin.

Disassembly of lane assist camera plastic cover
Hi there, I found a spare fuse box circuit that was activated with the ignition and I used a 12v fuse extender kit + a 12v to 5 v convertor. After that I routed the cable up the left side pillar all the way to the centre mirror . Once I get into the car ( and don’t forget ) I’ll take some pictures.

Disassembly of lane assist camera plastic cover
That's indeed a better view, it would have definetly helped as I struggled a bit, luckily I didn't break any plastic clips. Cheers!

Disassembly of lane assist camera plastic cover
I managed to take it off using these steps: Pull 3 and 4 outwards and then slide the big cover forwards and that's it. Thank you

Disassembly of lane assist camera plastic cover
Hi guys, Can anyone provide steps on how to take out the lane assist camera plastic cover? I don’t have the USB C port and I want to route a cable from the fuse box to the right side of the mirror. cheers!

Add rear USB-C connectors
I just wanted to drop my thanks to Giannis20 for this guide, it helped me install it on my '21 Octavia. I didn't use the black connector, I just got the USB module, the trim and the cable from a write-off vehicle and just connected the pins 1-3 with WAGO connectors, I assume it was easier with the black connector extender, but I didn't have it handy. And as you said, Giannis20, the space under the front module is quite narrow and there is not much cable to use.

Wet belt
Yes, you should be good. My old '19 Superb 2.0 TDI was leaking coolant from the water pump and I went ahead and changed the timing kit + water pump and also did the oil pump belt as it is quite easy once the timing belt is off. There were no debris in the oil sump and the oil pump belt was in good condition with no wear signs. The car had ~85k miles ( 136k kms ) . Cheers!

Guide on electric tailgate retrofit
Update: It seems that for this retrofit you need the following: 1. Electric struts - 2 x 5E7827851 2. Strut mounts - 4x 657827850 3. Button on the inside of the tailgate cover ( couldn't find the part number ) 4. Button located on front door cover - 565959831 5. Rear bumper sensor - 1x 5E3962239 6. Soft close hatch on the tailgate side ( possible the hatch on the boot itself might be different ) - ( couldn't find the part number ) 7. Cabling 8. Dataset + calibrating + SFD unlock for module coding Extras ( possible ) : 1. New Keyless gateway ( the old one might work , not sure ) 2. Module located in the boot ( the old one might work , not sure ) It's an expensive retrofit which might not be justified. As far as I understood, the MQB Evo platform is very expensive to retrofit. If anyone tries this, do let us know. Cheers!

Wet belt
Yes, the oil pump is driven by a toothed belt . There have been a few cases of failed belts ( missing teeth or ruptured completely ) which led to low/no oil pressure ( that's very bad ), but only after 180-200k km. It is advised to change the oil pump belt along with the camshaft cover and bearing when changing the timing kit ( as you need to remove the timing kit to access the camshaft cover and oil pump belt ).

Guide on electric tailgate retrofit
yes, you're right! I would need another one on the cover of the boot in order to close the tailgate. And yes, I would need coding after all the hardware is in.

Guide on electric tailgate retrofit
Hello gents! I own a '21 Octavia NX combi Style. I would like to retrofit an electric tailgate . There a few write-offs around me which have the electric tailgate , does anyone know what exactly do I need to part from another car? I suppose I would need the following: 1. electric struts 2. strut mounts 3. Boot button 4. button located on the driver front door cover for the boot 5. rear bumper sensor Is there any special module that I would need to part? Also, there is a long way until then, but if you know what exactly needs to be coded in VCDS, that would be great! Thank you, Madalin
