How to attach a BM2 battery monitor to a Skoda Karoq battery?
Davide57 replied to Mark-Surrey's topic in Skoda Karoq
Had to give a heads up to Tanya battery’s after the service I have just received. Noticed my Karoq battery was not holding its charge and even after a long run the voltage was only around 12.2v. The start stop started working after a long run but once the battery settled to around 12v it stops working. I know from many years being a retired electrical engineer that a good battery should read around 12.6v. I therefore bit the bullet did a little research and found the best price for a Varta stop start rated battery as the original fitted to my car was £89 delivered from Tanya batteries. I duly ordered it yesterday (Sunday afternoon), had an acknowledgement it was being dispatched and was delivered by Yodel today(Monday)at 1500. Can’t beat that for service, North Wales to Camarthenshire. A Quick Look at Euro car parts shows the very same battery at £193! Thats an obvious heads up to Tanya batteries! -

Hi All Just registered on the forum . I live in Camarthenshire near Cross Hands and have just purchased a 2020 Karoq 1.0SE tsi. Dave -
Hi All Just purchased a 2020 Karoq with only 3900 miles on the clock. It’s a 1.0SE Tsi manual in what I believe is the petrol blue colour(dark blue)and although only the smallest engine I am delighted with it. It’s the quietest and smoothest car I have ever owned. It was a no brainer for me two minutes into my test drive. I decided that the tyre repair kit was not for me and purchased the boot kit from Caffryns and a space saver off eBay that was unused . I bought the nextbase hardwire kit and fitted my old nextbase dash cam quite easily having read how to drop the glovebox, having looked it up on google. The car is absolutely mint condition and was registered disabled at first registration. I have just registered on this forum and look forward to using it for advice etc. Dave

Just fitted my dash cam to my newly acquired 2020Karoq. Looking at the fuse box behind the glovebox, if you look just below it to the left side there is a large torx screw. If you slacken this slightly you can push the crimped spade connection on the black wire behind it. This is a good earth point. I managed the whole installation in ten minutes or so and I am 73.
