  1. yea thats what i figured, if its working ok one way then its ok..its gotta be the power supply as itll be a single earth, start with the fuse then follow the power...electrical faults are never nice on modern beasts
  2. Hey Guys, bit confused here OP says the rear washer isnt working and yet they say they are checking fuses for the wiper motor not the washer pump? ....is it a single pump that does both front and rear because if the pump work ok for the front washers its not that? if your getting 0v at the pump its not the pump it'll be the supply wiring, fuse, rotary coupler, stalk control etc...can you use a power probe to supply power to the pump itself or bench test it and check its working...id start by checking the fuse for the pump then if ok activate the stalk and see where you loose power along the circuit till you find the issue?
  3. Heya Bud, not to be funny here but a replacement boot button is like Β£20 and half hours work ..wouldnt it be quicker and easier to just replace it yourself if its a dud?
  4. Messaged you cheers man
  5. Hey peeps just bought a new to me 2013 octavia with what I can assume is an mib1 system..has a Cd drive and twin sd reader with a roughly 5" touchscreen that seems to do whatever it wants when it's cold including calling random people or trying to change the language etc..from what i can see this is a common issue and I'm looking to upgrade to an mib2 setup so I can do android auto for navigation etc and not tear my hair out trying to stop casper from dialling my ex wife! From reading various posts mainly by @SashaGrace and @pab567 I think I'm after this setup but feel free to correct me if im wrong... Headunit (glovebox bit) - 5Q0035874A Screen - 5E0919605M And usb - 5Q0035726E Does this seem right? I dont want to go aftermarket as want to keep full functionality and also i am friendly with my skoda master tech so coding it to the car shouldnt be an issue im told? Thanks in advance ☺️ peace out!
  6. Wassup buttercup..Got family in Ebo so you'll probably see mine around..so far its got aftermarket day runners and yellow fogs...but more to come hopefully πŸ˜„
  7. Howdy Campers! Just dropping a hello on here and introducing Me, Myself and I. Currently driving a mk3 Octy Elegance with the 1.4TSI lump after coming from a dirty diesel passat estate...had the car 2 days and already ordered a few upgrades for visual appeal and to satisfy my innate urge to fiddle with everything i own. Been around cars all my life and currently a kia service tech for a main dealer so hoping to be able to provide general help if not model specific? Anyways enjoy my standard car porn whilst it stays stock for all of a week whilst waiting for parts..ill also update a build thread as i go and try to do step by steps if needed?
