  1. Hi, for those maybe watching this, I simply started the engine (I had to move the car forward a bit anyway), then stopped it and left the key inside the car. I was able to jack it up sufficiently to remove the wheel to photograph it on inside to buy duplicate. No alarm.
  2. Hi, last time I tried jacking up my 2022 Superb TSi Estate, the car alarm went off, how do I avoid this next time?
  3. Thanks again Gabbo, the music issue was a common fault, or the driving assist?
  4. Thanks for that info Shuggy, I only have their word for it as I can't see ET40 anywhere on that, so what part of the code do I need to see that denotes the 40mm offset when I take one of my wheerls off tomorrow?
  5. Thank you Gabbo, I will book it in and see what they say. I'll report back here once I know.
  6. Can anyone offer info on this? I have a few weeks of warranty left and would like to put this behind me. TIA
  7. So what am I looking at here? This is the photo of the stamp from inside of that Ebay wheel, as in what number in particular has to match my wheels? I will take off a wheel tomorrow to get a photo of the inside, much like this one. I had no idea that there were so many variations, or are there? A quick goggle research mentioned the manual and drivers door jamb to get info, but neither have been any use.
  8. Many thanks Shuggy. I'll pad out like you said. I do hate spacesavers. I just need to check definitively that this the right wheel(offset).
  9. Sorry for late reply to this thread. I've decided to get a spare wheel and might as well get one the same as the rest of them. I've seen this on Ebay, it looks exactly the same as my other wheels, is there anything else I should look out for? I prefer having a full size wheel to one of those skinny space savers. I have a 2022 Superb SE TSi Semi-Auto eBay UKSkoda Superb MK3 Alloy Wheel 3V0601025C 7Jx17 F891 | eBa...Skoda part number 3V0601025C. 7Jx17 ET40. Skoda Superb MK3 Alloy Wheel. The wheel has marks to the finish.
  10. Hi @superb316 is the link broken? I don't have the issue yet, but like to keep ahead of the game.
  11. Hi all, I have a Superb Estate late '22 and I've had the orange light come up when it rains at times saying driving assist not available or similar sentence. I seem to remember hearing that this was an issue with these, but as I still have warranty on this car want to ask the question: Is there any point in getting the dealership replacing the sensor? The dealership did a service not long ago and even admitted that they had an issue with these sensors, if I took it in, I could be back to square one with a new one, if even they changed it or didn't and told me that they had.
  12. Hi, I don't know if this is a model-related thing but I've noticed other Superb rear lights where the thin red "eyelash" parts of the lights (that are on the boot rather than the body) light up but mine don't. I still have some warranty so if they're meant to light up I'll want them fixed. already I've come across differences between my car, principally in the infotainment division, to others that appear to be defo model-related.
  13. Thanks all for your input. The answer turned out to be simple, once thatis, the YT video that nta16 kindly posted a link to. It turns out that like my 2022 Superb, there is a rubber pull handle to close the boot, only mine had been chewed away by the previous owner's dog- so I didn't know there was one. I only found this out when I got into the boot via the back seats, and did the screwdriver trick to open the boot. Quite simply, because the boot had been closed for so long, the rubber seal had sort of stuck to the frame of the car enough not to be able to open with the hand outside, but once the leverage of the screwdriver had done its work, I could hear the seal unsticking bit by bit. I would never have thought of that so thanks nta16 for the link.
  14. Many thanks Nigel, I'm going out now to try this-already forwarded on the Playlist. She's quite independent and is keen to learn, however I insure the car currently as she has no money, but expecting her to work from September once her master's is over, and to afford the insurance it's kept near me as Brighton is so expensive compared to here plus parking costs too!
