Third party car radio - RCD330?
They did not reply. But I found another third party stereo that worked fantastically! Check out Eonon VWA12S-6g. I bought it directly from Eonon and it works with Skoda Sound System, has wireless CarPlay and their support on installation was great. Can’t recommend it enough!

Columbus In German!
Hello again! It has been some time but I have now solved this problem by replacing the Columbus with a third party unit. I have looked all over the internet to find a unit that supports Skoda Sound System. It felt like mission impossible but I finally found the company Eonon. Their unit VWA12S-6G fit perfectly and they gave me perfect support on the installation. Can’t recommend it enough! So now I once more have sound, all parking sensors work and even wireless apple CarPlay.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I was in the UK I would definitely go through Andrei. I’m in Sweden though.

Columbus Sales & Repair.
Hello! I have the same unit with no 3T0 035 680 C. I’m looking for a replacement unit for my superb with sound system. Do I need the exact same no on the replacement or could I use like an 3T0 035 680 K? Is it just a new revision or a different not compatible unit?

Columbus In German!
Yeah, an original unit was waaay beyond budget. In Sweden it was like 37000SEK=3500USD so crazy. I am looking for used units or a new third party one from AliExpress. Found the one attached below but no one can confirm it works with my superb as it has Skoda Sound System. I hear it is a good one with CarPlay etc anyway.

I bought a disc from eBay but the CD player did not take it and now it’s stuck in there. Have not heard anyone else experiencing this so I assume my unit has some more issues. I’m looking for a replacement but I would suggest that you try a disc first as it seems to solve the issue for most people. Good luck 😊

Third party car radio - RCD330?
I don’t know unfortunately. I recently checked the label of my Columbus though. It says 3T0 035 680 C. My local repair workshop said I should replace it with a “B” unit according to my car registration. Not sure why. Can that be connected to the sound system maybe?

Third party car radio - RCD330?
Thanks for the response! I would say the advantages are really big compared to the disadvantages. The only thing stopping me from ordering right now is the question about compatibility with the Skoda Sound system. Any thoughts on that?

Third party car radio - RCD330?
Hi! I am looking at replacing the Columbus car radio in my Skoda Superb 2011. Found the RCD330 Plus on AliExpress and think it could be a good candidate. Anyone have experience with it? Also, my car has the “Skoda Sound System” and I have heard it may not be compatible with many third party radios. Anyone have any experience with that? https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIBUOcx

Columbus head unit issues.
Thanks for the guide. I’ll see if it can help me. My issue is that I put the software CD in the slot but it is not reading it. CD is kind of just rattling in there now and won’t even come out…

Hi! I have the same issue. Did you manage to solve it, and how? 😊 I have tried to reset mine without luck.

Columbus In German!
Just to give an update. I got my CD, connected the battery to power supply and dropped the CD in the tray. It did not take it and now it is just rattling in there 😂 Won’t come out when I press the button. Guess my Columbus unit is beyond repair. Maybe I will replace it some day when I get the opportunity. For now I will live without music in the car. Still, thanks for the support!

Columbus In German!
I can push the CD very far in. Like so only 5mm of it is sticking out. Feel like if I let go it is just going to fall in there... Never experienced this with any CD player before. I press the eject button also and nothing happens. Guess nothing is in there.

I received the CD now but my stereo is not taking it. I push it into the slot as a normal CD inlet and nothing happens. It does not take it 😞 Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help!
