Software failure not so Superb
- Rejecting My IV
I had my update a few weeks ago, it has to be done at the dealers. I picked the car up on a Monday all was well until the following Friday when 3 fault lights came on. The cleaned themselves the following day and the car has behaved since then . I go to the car every day with a lot of trepidation, I know it is early days, but the update is working......so far- Software failure not so Superb
I originally had a problem with radio, it had to have a new part which had to be specially made at the factory. The radio didn't work unless the infotainment was restarted/ rebooted. It took 10 weeks to get the part.- Software failure not so Superb

I agree but I have been assured the faults are in the warning lights not in the systems, even though a light says an "assist" is not working, it will be. In July, soon after the car had become available in the UK, no one knew if it was the lights or the systems that were at fault. My dealer says of 14 superbs supplied 11 have these warning light faults. A Very Happy Christmas to you as well- Software failure not so Superb
Thanks for the update, I can't help you because when my faults appeared in July no-one knew what the problems were, I.e. software. To update you on my car, I got the car back on the 16th, on the 19th 3 faults showed up, (much complaining) they cleared themselves the next day and not reappeared. I go to the car with trepidation every day but just monitoring.- Software failure not so Superb
Could the bells be the speed warning! The EU in their wisdom have insisted all new cars sold after June have to have an audible warning if you exceed the speed limit. Luckily, in the UK anyway, you can turn it off. The wheel button o the right hand side of the steering wheel. Unfortunately you have to turn it off each trip- Software failure not so Superb
Thanks for the update- Software failure not so Superb
I would. They are not fit for purpose. They are still selling them with faults . My dealer says the warning lights are at fault not the system but that is not the point. A product called Superb should be Superb, it is definitely not .- Software failure not so Superb
Bad News to report. I had the update on Monday, and after 50 miles I am getting: Occupant Protection Restricted Front Assist Unavailable Emergency Assist Unavailable. I think it is fair to say, Skoda have failed their customers- Software failure not so Superb
Sorry to hear about you. Skoda have really ****ed up. My dealer says they are recalling in batches so not to overwhelm abd crash their computers- Software failure not so Superb
Thank you for your post. I am starting to negotiate with Skoda UK for some compensation. I think the least they can do is have the guarantee start date moved to when I picked up the car on Monday. So far, 3 days in and the car is behaving, although everytime I start it there's fear and trepidation!!- Software failure not so Superb
There have been complaints from all over Europe. After being a pain in the arse emailing Skoda CZ I got this reply on November 27th. thank you very much for your email. We deeply understand your frustration. Till these days Skoda have been intensively working on the correction of the software. We are very sorry for the time you have been waiting. Let us explain why it has taken the time. The issue resulted very complex, affected more control units therefore the whole issue required more time than other tests. Now the software is ready. Kindly check the availability of the your preferred workshop for the update. I suspect Skoda knew there was a major fault but launched the car anyway I will not buy another Skoda- Software failure not so Superb
The service recall is Service Campaign 91SV.- Software failure not so Superb
They took a few attempts to load my update. Same thing, update dot stuck. They tried different computers and one eventually worked- Software failure not so Superb
My software problems in july on a brand new car after 10 miles. The car went back to the dealer immediately and I finally got it back on Monday. So far the update has worked but 2 days is not much of a test. The update was released on December 2nd- Software failure not so Superb
According to my dealer, they have been told the software fix should sort out various things re the boot opening and closing on its own, make sure you are not triggering the hidden pedal- Software failure not so Superb
As far as I understand things, talking to my dealer, the software is for all cars, although they recall in waves so as not to overwhelm/crash the factory computer. My dealer says out of 14 Superbs, they have had 11 with the warning light faults.the dealers demo car keeps calling the police on the emergency button. Skoda has told the dealer this software fix should sort out all sorts of faults Re the other faults, you must get them sorted, you have paid enough for the car.- Software failure not so Superb
When did you have the update? How far has the car driven since the update?- Software failure not so Superb
You can reboot the central screen, press and hold the button in front of the screen for about 15 seconds, it should then restart, unless there is a power supply problem- Software failure not so Superb
I know it took multiple goes to install the new software. They kept getting error messages half way through the process. Eventually they tried a different computer and it installed. It will be useful to know if people get the warnings after they have the update- Software failure not so Superb
I got my car back yesterday, 33 miles on, no problems. I know that is not far, but went wrong after 10 miles when I got it . So, let's hope, fingers crossed!- Software failure not so Superb
Dear Superb owners, We need to know if anyone has had the software update and still gets the faults after the update. There is already 1 report, keep us informed- Software failure not so Superb
What happens if you press show updates? I am waiting to get mine back. The service recall is Service Campaign 91SV.- Software failure not so Superb
Software was issued/released Monday 2nd December. It is Service Recall 91SV. My dealer is having an issue with the car accepting the update and we are waiting for a reply from the SKODA technical department (factory based). He says this is normal when an update is first released. Check it has recall 91SV installed - Rejecting My IV
