  1. but don't toss that comfort module, i had recently simmilar issues (depends where rust corodes the contacts ) i just gave the harness side and comfort module pins goooood clean and scrape off the rust particles....sealed everything in grease ( non conductive ) and put it all back together, works as new
  2. that happened to me, anyway what i did is cut the little part of the housing of the lock (in one of random incidents door did open so i managed to remove the screws and cardboard plating ) and sprayed wd40 in the electric area of the lock that somehow got the door to open and then i removed the lock from the door and opened electrical part and removed the motor (brushed motor) and cleaned the comutator of that motor and everything inside ( you need to pry a little the metalic housing of that little motor) once cleaned the ohm resistance was less than 4 ohms which indicates completly renowed dc brushed motor, now 5 years later it's still operating like new (althou had to close the cutting of the housing with some hot glue )
  3. this is what "Silver Bullet" was mentioning (driver door electric motor connector , gets the signals for the lock and other stuff and then it reroute them on the door )
  4. i had the same problem for radio (but only radio) , what i did is i changed on radio harness yellow/red with red , one is ignition other is 12v, just swaped them and afterwards the radio was okay and did not reset on every key off
  5. those extra pins are for the physical key insert (two adittional buttons inide for when you turn the key left or right) but nut sure if you can replace it, what are your symptoms of the lock that is currently mounted on the car ?
  6. But where exactly it was broken, I have the same symptoms but i had rust in that connector, now the initial problem of drivers door lock not working is fixed by me cleaning as much as I could the contacts on harnes and on the motor regulator(black box attached to the window motor) but now the window motor is not coming down or up BUT I can hear the relay clicking
