Update to Version 1969
My dealer (DM Keith) updated my car from 1806 to 1969, but only after a lengthy chat with Skoda U.K. (who were not interested) and some excellent side support from the National Skoda Fleet manager (as my company has many Skoda vehicles) The dealer wanted £156 to update. Between the national fleet manager and her direct influence with my local dealer and also bringing in VAG group direct, it was done FoC Since the update I have been able to update my navigation map via USB and things like settings ‘drive on the left’ are now cured. Will understand if other things have changed as I use the car more , but for now I am unfortunately sunning it in CYP for 3 weeks 😉

Update to Version 1969
My map was stuck on 20.# - having downloaded the offline map from the skoda Portal a while ago, that never took. I read on here that s.w. prior to 1896 would not let offline updates, so now the update has taken the map db has gone to 23.# I just downloaded the latest map last night [ 24.# ] and put on my USB ready to go, so will see if this one updates as quickly. I have a sandisk 128GB USB-C drive, Formatted to exFAT. Extract all the files/folders from the dowloaded zip archive directly to the USB [ i.e. 170 items visible when browsing on a PC ] and ensure they aren't placed in another folder.

Update to Version 1969
My dealer finally updated my Software yesterday After getting Skoda involved directly to have this done for free, it didn't take them long at all, but as many of you mentioned previously, if going from an early version - best let them do it. Itjumped from 1804 to 1969 and when I popped my manual map update USB back in the car on my drive home, the map had also updated! That USB had been sat in my car for months, refusing to do anything. I did have a bit of a to and fro with the service guy, going on about why do you want it etc. spouting I shouldn't read too much online - all is not what you read on forums. Turns out it is, and perhaps they should join these themselves 😉

Water in passenger (right) footwell.
I had a bad experience with Water ingress on Drivers [ RHS ] Footwell and behind. Removing the small carpet revealed 'lots' of water under there. Took to the dealer "We can't find anything" - Over a week latr they found a faulty Firewall Grommet behind the Console After 5 weeks of stuck at the Dealers doing nothing, they finally got the right grommet, & replaced the carpets under warranty luckily. Nightmare

Update to Version 1969
Thanks @TheWanderer and @aaaaplay , I need to find a decent dealer. All near me are DM Keith. My usual garage have been awful to deal with and suspect calling their other one a bit further away will be just as bad. Although I've never suffered issues with SOS etc. I do see the Flickering Console every now and the Infortainment also randomly restarts. [ although not often ] I have a feeling should I come to sell, the status of the s.w. might be a questioning factor to a prospective buyer as this is a hot topic around the MK4s
