It was posted here earlier with the TPI. But essentially the MIB would have no audio randomly no matter the audio input. The other issue was there would sometimes we a loud pop sound when approaching the locked car and would result in no audio. Rebooting the MIB does not work. Have to fully power off the car let it drain power from MIB. Then when you start it up after the drain it is fine.

Humm thats interesting. I was planing to do the update to 1969 myself. But i dont want to void the 7yr warranty as well.

Did they say they will update the MIB to 1969 or 1941? They only updated mine to 1941 becasue they needed to do it for the audio issue.

It would be good if they could give us OTA over wifi. I connected my moms subaru to wifi and it got some updates for her car. And that could be done in the MIB updates like in 1941 / 1969 include that.

It is country / region specific. Like here is Aus we dont have the esim integration so we dont get any OTA and need to rely on the local dealers to perform the updates. I only got 1941 as they needed to to apply the audio firmware.

@aaaaplay I have sent you a direct DM regarding this. I will send this pic to my dealer hopefully prompting them to finally update it. Was there anything else you had to do to get them to update it.

I took a video, showed them in person. they replicated it. but as they had other 2021 cars that had the same issue they said its normal. yet their 2024 car and others work fine but they are like its year specific 😕 I guess also a lot of people dont realise that the sync thing is an issue. same with me until i saw it on the forums here. I always thought it was normal. annoying but normal. lets see i am trying to see who else has a 2021 car with the sync working so i can get them to do the firmwareupdate for me.

Any one in Aus with a 2021 model that got skoda to do the upgrade to a newer firmware? My dealer hear confirmed i have the 0341 firmware but could not do any update as their was nothing on their system showing as updates are available.

Went for the safety recall and other issues mentioned in my earlier post. The finally did some updates: 1. MIB from 1803 to 1941 (not 1969 😞 ) but still a lot better than i was. I will leave it on this for a few weeks before jumping to 1969 if possible 2. Audio Controller to 4019 - should fix my canton no Audio and pop issue. Plus the safety recall stuff. They did not fix the AC SYNC issue 😕 said it is normal for the 2021 build cars... 2024 car they had for service did not have any issue. but as their system did not show as an update available they did not do anything.

I called my service center and they want to book a diagnostic, and if they cant reproduce it they cant do any update as Skoda Australia will not pay for it. Is the AuSkoda group the one on FB?

Thanks for the very detailed response. Looks like I will need to have an argument with them:/ 1. I do have the canton system 2. I do notice the AC sync control issue I though it was standard and so annoying good to know there is a fix. I am calling them tomorrow to book the safety recall and going to try and get them to do these updates. From what I can gather I need to get the following done by them 1. Infotainment system update to 1941 or higher (random park system not working & faster overall system) 2. TPI update for the audio issue after the above software 3. Climate control module firmware update. (fix for sync issue) I have the limited edition that came to AUS. i may need to call a few dealers around if my one does not do it.

Thanks for the quick reply. So i have had the S-Assistance systems camera control unit siftware update done as well as they replaced the stearing wheel as that was the original fix. They then did the software update for that. not sure if it is the same TPI for SOS system. I am going to book with the deeler for the safety recall for the heat protecrtion mat. Will try and see if they can do the software upgrade. I have asked them in the past with no luck. might have to see if their is another deeling willing to do it.

Hi all. First time here. I am based in AUS. I have had a few issues with the software on the car but every time i ask the dealer to look for updates they just say that it has the latest and at most update the maps data. I have had issues which i assume can be fixed withe software. 1. android auto connection via wireless. sometimes just fails to connect. 2. I hear a loud pop sound played from all the speakers when approaching a locked car. This renders the audio function. ie no audio from any system, radio, android auto etc. It says assisted parking is not available. Also when reverse parking the sound does not work. and there is a orange triangle on the dash stating systems not available. 3. randomly no pop sound or anything but no error message but audio just does not work. I try to reboot the info system but no audio. I have to lock the car and wait for it fully power off no power in infotainment system or dash maybe 10 -15 min and then if i turn the car back on ti starts working again. This issue has been happening more frequently now. I have tried to look for OTA updates but i don’t now if that even works in AUS as nothing happens when i search for that even after connecting the car to Wi-Fi. I assume i cant do the software update myself as the version is super old? Anyone in AUS found a dealer that will do the updates ?
