  1. @All-Right-Drive i have a petrol car sorry. We dont get the electric version in Australia.
  2. Update 2: The dealer has done a full battery test and drain test. All looks normal at this stage. Could not see any fault or abnormal battery drain. We currently suspect that the cars alarm might have gone off and since the car was underground by the time i came to use the car again it had gone flat.
  3. On 1985 no issue for me with Android auto Are you sure i think 1985bis meant to be last
  4. Update 1: car started this morning took it to the dealer and left for 2 days so they can do a full check. Apparently there is an update for the gearbox control. Unrelated to the battery issue
  5. I do get that but seems very odd for such a new battery to have this issue. With decent daily driving should not need a trickle charging.
  6. Fair will get that checked out Yea it could be with the ev versions of the car but will have the dealer check it out. I have the 1.8l limited edition here in aus. Currently done 27K km overall
  7. Thanks. Will ask the dealer to have a look of any tpi for it
  8. Was that for a petrol car or the plugin hybrid? I have a petrol only car?
  9. I have to check i might have one at the parents place
  10. no. I have no idea how to do that to be honest. I have already emailed the dealer to see if they can have a once over of the car.
  11. I took it to the dealer and they did the coding. I can only assume they did the correct job.
  12. by any chance do you have a link to this? or the TPi i can get my local dealer to look into this
  13. I agree the car it self drives well. its the software around it that is a buggy mess. A lot of issues have been fixed with software updates and here in AUS have to get the Dealer to apply the updates as there is no OTA for us:/ I think most of my issues have been resolved with software updates. I also had audio issues where the audio would just not work until the power was fully drained. a software update fixed that. same with the AC controls. and FOB issue.
  14. Hi all, I have Octavia Mk IV MY21 I got the factory battery replaced in it back in May2024 with an AGM battery when the last one died when we were on a trip. Friday last week i got a start / stop warning normally indicating a low battery and when this happened last time i was able to use the car for about 2 months before it totally died. Seeing that this might be the case soon i ensured i had the start stop disabled and ran the car for a good 2 + hours on Saturday as well as set the car in sports mode hoping that the extra revs etc would help charge the battery faster. However this morning when i went to get something from the car the car was totally dead. unable to unlock with the FOB. I called the same roadside that originally replaced the battery just over a year ago as it has 24 months warranty. they came out checked the battery it was at 10V and said the battery is ok and just need to be run more. jump started the car and said to leave it running / go for a 1 hour drive and I should be ok. I have run it today for 1 hour after this and once back hope power cycled the car and it appeared to start back up but i feel tomorrow evening it is going to be the same issue again. While i dont use the car much on weekdays but the odd local shopping trip. On the weekends i regularly drive a good 1-2 hours a day. My dad who has a VW with the same type of battery has a similar drive pattern and his battery has been going sold for the past 2+ years It is normal for the battery to drain so fast? could there be some electrical leak that keep draining the battery even when the car is off. I expected the AGM battery to have better life and hold it charge better. or could the car have been re program wrong so it not keeping the battery at the correct levels ? as a stop gap measure would it be advisable to get something like this to charge the battery overnight ? https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/sca-sca-12v-1.6-amp-battery-charger/611219.html?cgid=SCA01060203
  15. Yea thats what i plan to do. But here in Australia we dont get OTA. The infotainment system is a cut down version of EU with many features disabled. When ever i take it for service i have to ask them to update it. A lot of times they say nothing new. I was stuck on 1809 for like 3 years before they updated me to 1941 due to a audio fix that needed to be applied.
  16. Is there any change notes or TPI for the new 1985 update? I am on 1941 and no major issues that I can notice so happy to stay on this unless there is some major changes.
  17. The Sydney city one was rude and un helpful. I found the one in pennant hills at least willing to listen and entertain the idea. They fixed it for me. Let me try and send you what i sent them and it allowed them to help.
  18. Where in Australia are you located. I finally got a dealer in NSW sydney to fix mine.
  19. There is no TPI that i am aware off. The original dealer i went to was useless. Their system did not have any notes or firmware updates so did nothing. And refused to raise the issue further. Even after sending video proof of other cars without the issue etc. Finally found a dealer near me that i sent the same email and proof. They confirmed they had the "new" firmware but it did not mention any fix for my issue but was willing to apply the update for me to see of it will fix the issue. They applied it for me and low and behold it fixed the issue and covered under the 7 year warranty i have with the car. I only go to this dealer now as they are willing to look and entertain genuine issues especially if you show them proof of fixes and issue. Like i had the car alarm randomly go off one day looking at same issue here it was pointed out it could be the lock. When i took it for normal service sent them proof of the fix others had done here etc and when they looked they confirmed that yes it was the same issue due to faulty lock and replaced under warranty. The only outstanding thing i have is the infotainment system update. I am on 1941 but there is no newer official version that than for AUS at this stage. Send me a dm i can check the email i sent my local dealer that got them to finally address the clima issue.
  20. ah fair. i wonder if 1985 will come to AUS. i dont see any change logs posted yet.
  21. changing screen? was your screen faulty / damaged ? Mine is still on 1941 but local deals says 1969 has not yet been released here in Australia
  22. I am in Aus and i emailed the AU office and they are just like talk to your dealer. 😕 and yes i think we need more people with My21 reporting the issue so a TPi can be created. i only got my audio issue fixed rectly after complaing about it for 3 years.
  23. my dealer is refusing to do any update as their system says it is upto date. and showing them that this issue exist via video proof and other My carrs having the fix as well as other here with a My21 getting the fix and proof of their firmware showing the new fersion is not working 😕
