Update to Version 1969
My problems were sorted out by Skoda replacing the MIB module in the end. The screen just died after a week of the on/off issue. Luckily all covered by warranty.

So apparently I need a new MIB control module, which they can’t get for a month 😞

Park Distance Control very intermittent
My infotainment screen has totally died now, along with a permanent warning on my virtual dash about PDC not working, and SOS not working. I have no navigation (including compass) or parking sensors, and obviously all functionality accessed using the screen is inaccessible, such as driving style, a/c, etc. Strangely, adaptive cruise still works. It’s going into Skoda tomorrow.

Update to Version 1969
I did disconnect the battery for a bit, but it didn’t make any difference. Presumed that was an easy way of doing it vs getting to the fuse.

Update to Version 1969
Thanks @Gerrycanand @Novascape. Yes, it’s booked in for a look on 25th. The 1941 update was OTA and working fine until the tyre pressure reset. Might have been coincidence but it was immediately after, as soon as I started the car. I can’t even run a reset now as the screen appears to be dead.

Update to Version 1969
Hi all, new here. Unfortunately I’ve seen this thread a day too late. 1941 installed a few weeks ago on my mk4 vRS and all was fine until Friday, when I had to reset the tyre pressure system after a low pressure warning. As soon as I did that, the infotainment screen started pop-popping and switching on and off, and taking the satnav on my digital dash down with it. Then I started getting PDC warnings over the weekend, and yesterday my screen stopped working completely, alongside new warnings about parking sensors and the SOS system not working. So I suspect I won’t be able to do this update myself as my screen seems to be dead. Can anyone reassure me that the problems stop with things linked to the infotainment system ? I’m slightly worried about the electronic handbrake suddenly not working, or the DSG being affected. This is my info, taken when the screen still worked.

Park Distance Control very intermittent
Hi all, apologies for tagging on to this thread, but am having similar problems with my 2023 Octavia vRS, which updated itself to 1941 a couple of weeks ago. I got the car in March, and all was fine until Friday, when I had a genuine tyre pressure warning. Pumped the tyre up and reset the pressure sensor on the infotainment screen and then the problems started. Infotainment screen started turning itself off/on every two or three minutes, with satnav on the digital dash also going offline at the same time. Then I started getting the PDC warning too. Yesterday I spoke to the local Skoda service centre and the earliest they can fit me in is 25th June. Then yesterday afternoon the infotainment screen switched off, and won’t come back on, and there’s a warning about the SOS and the parking sensors. Today it started pinging randomly for half a mile and then stopped again. I’m a little concerned that the electronic problems are escalating, and hoping that this can’t get to the DSG or electronic handbrake. I’ve tried disconnecting the battery etc as I’d seen that as a possible fix, but no dice. The guy at Skoda told me that there’s a newer update (1969 I think he said), but it’s not available to me yet, and now the screen has completely stopped working I’m not sure how to sort that. Photo taken when the screen was working.
