  1. Hello folks, I have a long warm up issue in my skoda octavia mk3 2014 1.4 chpa 140 hp. So the car works well, but over winter I saw that coolant temperature goes up slight slowly: 1. Cold start at 2 *C 2. About 10 km at 80 kmph - sensor at dashboard says 60-70 *C, oil sensor says 50-55 *C. 3. Next 10 km at 90-120 kmph sensor at dashboard finnaly sets up at 90*C, but oil cant beat 80-85 *C Oil was changes about 11kkm ago, I changed it over 15 kkm - or 1 year. So change is near. Coolant is at normal level, no leaks. Could someone share about his measurmenst of oil and coolant temperatures at winter in this specyfic car & engine ? Take care.
  2. Great to hear that finally you manage it.
  3. Why you update from 1790 to 1798 ? I updated my scala from 1310 directly to 1800 with no problems. Do you use correct file to update ? Have you reset device after update (long press power button or menu button, I don't remember). Here you have 1800 fw that I have updated. https://easyupload.io/wc1io4
  4. Thank you for your opinion and help. In case of 'button s/s cable' it was added to the car after first battery problems. We have bought car from secound hand in may this year. Baterry seems to be in bad contidion. For now It is about a month when my wife is driving with new bateery and car show no low battery status so I forgot about this issue.
  5. Mine charger starrs with 3,5amps, and ends with 1,2amps.
  6. What do you mean ? I ment alixxxxxx cable that I bought and connect beetwen s/s button and oryginal car cable socket, this cable press s/s off button after turn ignition on automaticly.
  7. After month it is allright. So the problem was poor battery. I'm wondering could I use this 3 yo battery in another car. I've charged it few times with electronic charger, and it show 90-95 percent of charge after 8-10 h of charging. Voltage after two weeks is 12V, is it not to low ? Battery is disconnected from any load, I keep it in basement in temp. aprox. 10-15 *C.
  8. After reset the device it's ok for now, maybe something stuck once, now it works ok, light indicator turns off after lock the car.
  9. In my case it is not flashing but I noticed today that after stop ignition and close car s/s indicator stays on, I wait a white and then open and close car again, at second time it turns off immidietly.
  10. Hello, I've been using Ali cable in Skoda Scala since half year. When you turn engine off and lock car, does button indicator stays on (light) for a while or turn off immidietly? Im wondering could that cable works (using power) when car is off.
  11. So far so good, no battery level warnings in Scala.
  12. OBD shows EFB. And battery is EFB indeed. New one too.
  13. Yes. OBD gives 12,67 multimetr gives 12,79 aprox. I will fully charge Old battery, I takę it back, at least I will use it in my octavia 2013, it has ori battery, no problema at all, no start stop from factor.
  14. So, from the beginning: subject is skoda scala with 1.5 150 hp tsi engine from MY2021. History is that it runs with start stop on, and this could be the factor that may damage the battery. But facts: 1. Skoda gives warrnings about low battery level, it runs short distances, once I have charged battery over 3-4 hours but no result 2. After 3-4 days of idle, old battery drops to 11,4V, after enginge starts, it peeks to 14,8V at idle engine speed 3. We have decided to by new bosch battery, that I mentioned last post 4. Battery was changed in work shop but after replace mechanic mentioned that car has low level of chargning, 5. I have checked today: new battery idle engine stop is 12,5V, with engine running is only 12,8 V by multimeter gauge 6. I have coded the battery in ECU by OBD11, I have puts 60 Ah instead of 59 Ah, and changed 1111111111 to 1111111112 7. OBD11 in parameters shows 12,667 V when engine is running at idle speed, I added long distance lights, blower etc, and it stays on that value Simple question: my older cars runs at 14,2 14,3 V at idle engine speed and it shows that alternator is working correctly, but how about this system ? Is it normal that ECU lowers the charging tension when battery is full (new) ? I dont want to make new costs. Mechanic says about alternator malfunction when he sees only 12,8V at idle engine speed. But it's new generation of car and it may be different ? I will be glad for all helpfull responses.
  15. Hi, Is 14,8V charging at cold engine after start is ok value ?
  16. So, problem come back again. I have measured voltage after 4 days of no run of the car. It has 11,4 V, cars bearly starts. So I need to change battery. It is interesting becouse car is 3 years old. It runs with start stop at previous user so it might kill the battery. What do you think about this battery: BOSCH Akumulator 60Ah 640A P+ (efb/rozruchowy) Indeks: 0 092 S4E 051 ?
  17. Hi, I would like to attatched to this topic. I have drive octavia 3 with 1.4 tsi 140 hp engine code chpa. I have bought it with 162kkm mileage. Last days when it is more cold outside my clutch seems to works worse when engine is cold. When I unpress it while running the car it's like noisy and add vibrations to the car, when engine is hot there is not such a sympthome. Also it is not sliperry when its run at high speed and torque. Anyone here has changed clutch in this specific car ? What would you advise ? Run till it's end of clutch, or change it sooner ? Will this affect other parts of drive system ? I'll be glad of any replay.
  18. All answers are in this topic. Please take time and read it. Peoples uses their time to wrote about it in the past so you could use this info now. No need to write it over and over again.
  19. As far as I know infotainment in scala is in two hardware versions. Older hardware is with stock fw 0469, and last possible fw version for this hardware is 742. Newer version of hardware, for example mine scala from 2021 year has stock 1310 fw, and I successfully updated it to 1800 fw. Few lines early in this topic someone tryied to update from xxx firmware version to xxxx, and it fails. Maybe someone with more knowledge will correct me and say more about it. Do not risk update to brick your system. Update only if you have reason, not for fun.
  20. Yes. I have updated directly from 1310 to 1800.
  21. Hi, have you read this topic ? I wrote about update to 1800 fw, and yes that fixed android auto problem with samsung galaxy s23/s23+/s23ultra.
  22. I have bought special connector and plug it in between stock cable and button. It works automaticly, when I turn ignition it pushes the button like I would do it manually. It is the most harmlees solution for s/s disable. If it is allowed here I put link. If it is now allowed I will delete it. https://a.aliexpress.com/_ExcNuYV
  23. Reply to comments: I have checked battery connectors, there are fine. I have charged battery with charger that shows my percentage of power in battery at 85%. After few hours of charging meter shows 90%. Wife is driving car about week and half, and low battery warning wasn't show. Previous car was seat ibiza 6j from 2009 without so many electronics, and at the same driveways battery was good without charging. I think newer cars just need to be charged from time to time when it runs short distances. On my skoda octavia 2014, I have newer charged battery since 2 years when I bought car. But my road to work is approx. 20 km, and back 20 km. So it can be charged well at that distance. By the way. Start stop was turned off since we bought scala.
  24. As far I know 1790 won't fix AA issue. 1800 does.
  25. As I see adjorek had 1790 fw so he should update to 1800 with no errors.
