Buying Skoda Karoq - (noob) questions
Thamestrader - I have had a couple of shocks with lane assist, on first drive I was heading home down narrow twisty lanes and went over the white line (yes, my fault) and it pulled me back hard so, now I mostly turn it off. The second time, I drove out of services, indicated and as I crossed the white line to join lane one it pulled me back I think because I cancelled my indicator too soon maybe. Don't like it though. The Mother in Law :)) braking is a bit of a shocker as seems to have a mind of it's own. My old Karoq used to do the same.

Speed Alert
Not sure how it works, but have noticed the speed shown on my dash is different to that shown on my old plug in satnav e.g. 60 on dash but showing 58 on satnav. Had similar with my old Karoq e.g 70mph on dash and 66mph on old satnav. Think it's something to do with manufacturers protecting their backsides. RAC chap said the satnav was the more accurate but am sticking to dashboard mph.

Speed Alert
Mine reg'd September 2024 and have found it useful especially on M8 and similar where speed limit chops n changes. Mostly accurate so far. Not intrusive and can be switched off apparently although haven't tried.

Speed Alert
Take it you haven't noticed ARA have been sneaking in 20mph in some of the smaller villages Maybole, Dalry, Maidens to name a few, nothing to do with schools, hospitals etc.,

Speed Alert
Skoda Karoq received two weeks ago 2024/5 model has the speed limiter which I find useful but, it's not 100% accurate as I found recently on A1M showing the limit as 70mph when it was actually 50mph but that was the only time I've noticed an error. Overall I was impressed on a long journey recently with how accurate it was even on motorway/road works variable road speeds. The street light rule went out the window years ago when sections of the A3 appeared to be 30mph but were actually 60mph. Where I used to live had street lighting but a 40mph limit and no signs. There is a general lack of speed limit signs especially given the huge amount of street furniture these days. The limiter in my car makes a low beep and flashes when I go a few miles over but nothing if I slow too much below the limit.

Buying Skoda Karoq - (noob) questions
Agree re: Bridgestones, have them on my new Karoq, so much road noise down to them, will be gone soon Lane assist on new car fkn dangerous if I forget to cancel at the start of every journey and.. petrol to juicy on the new one, first petrol car I've had in decades and it takes nearly half a tank more than the derv on a regular 400 trip!

Buying Skoda Karoq - (noob) questions
Nick Green - I recently traded in a Karoq 4x4 auto, diesel and it had been a brilliant car, really regret my decision. Not once did it have any problems, (well aside from the filler flap when new) the gearbox was good maybe a bit slow pulling away, great roadholding on bendy roads, great motorway car, good top end acceleration. The boot was big enough for most things, easy to drop the seats. Good visibility, comfy seats, decent stereo. Low enough for my elderly mother to step into but high enough so's not to feel the bumps in the road very much. I really wish I hadn't decided to go for the new model, the old one was so good.

3 karoq - awaiting delivery what's the issue?
Hadn't thought about that, The Enyaq EV was a much quicker delivery funnily enough. Makes you wonder doesn't it.

3 karoq - awaiting delivery what's the issue?
Ordered my 2nd Karoq this time a Sportline 2.0 petrol 😔4wd No extras, ordered Mid May with anticipated delivery late August/early September. I knew the delivery time was too good to be true. Then, a few weeks ago, found out it has been delayed due to a fire in the factory making the 'Chips' (No, not those kind 😁). Not even built yet it seems, apparently the factory fire has affected most makes. I half expected a delay as back in 2019 when I purchased my current Skoda Karoq SE TDI 150 DSG 4W the delivery was delayed by about 5 weeks.

Hi there
Newbie here. Old female currently drive a Skoda Karoq SE TDI 150 DSG 4W 2019 From new. It's been brilliant and to date I've no problems to report. Low mileage thanks to not being used during The Plague. approx 55, 000 Dark bluey green, lovely colour usually covered in dirt. No extra's other than a spare wheel. But the handling is brilliant, it has been on some rough ground, tight bendy roads and always does what i want it to. Hope the new model is as good.
