  1. Yes. Happens about every 10th start, only after starting the car. Feels like a missed gear change. Have just turned auto hold off to see whether it's related. Passat b9 PHEV seems to suffer as well. Not raised with dealer yet.
  2. Mine malfunctioned while clean and dry. Suspect it was a software glitch.
  3. I switched off the lock while approaching and walking away feature, next time a tried the pedal it worked as it should. I switched the lock when walking away function back on and it still works. May or may not be connected, who knows?
  4. Had the car for a month. It took a few days to get the hang of operating the virtual pedal, but I cracked it and it opened and closed every time, but this morning it's stopped working. Option remains ticked and key is within range. Reset of infotainment didn't work. Any suggestions?
  5. Yes, that's it, thanks. Doesn't sound like anyone worked out what it is?
  6. I've done 1,500 miles in my IV Sportline. 5 times now I've experienced what feels like a missed gear change between 1st and 2nd when pulling off from stopped. Always in electric mode. It's like a very quick stutter, then car continues normally. It's only happened when the car has just started. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.
  7. About 65 miles pure electric. I just did a 166 mile journey in hybrid mode. Started with full charge, set battery control to preserve 40% and returned 65mpg. 140 mile round trip on Saturday, used 80% of charge and did 85mpg.
  8. I've decided to invest in a proper wall charger. The three pin was ok with the Octavia iv I px'd for the Superb (had a timer and a slow charging battery small enough to charge on off peak). Anyway, what a car! A bigger step up from the Octavia than I expected.
  9. It seems that you're right, and no option in the car either. Strange decision.
  10. Hi. Have just swapped an Octavia PHEV for a Superb. The option to set departure times in infotainment and the app seem to be missing, how do I set it to charge at off peak rates? Thanks
  11. 1804 is very old, that is most likely the cause of your troubles. Mine was on that when I bought it. I had the "all in one" extended warranty, but the dealer tried to charge me for updating the software as part of a regular service. I told them where to go and they backed down. I would suggest reporting the faults rather than asking them just to update the software. Good luck.
  12. What software version have you got? I've had these issues in the past, updating to 1941 then 1989 seems to have fixed most, but the car still finds new ways to annoy me.
  13. Hi. Hoping someone can help. I'm having trouble updating the map on my 2021 IV. I've downloaded the file, copied it to a 128gb drive, extracted the file, and it now looks like this. Have left disk in car's drive for 2 weeks, but nothing happened. Am I doing something wrong? Many thanks.
  14. Thanks for the reply. Just been out to the car, now working as it should. I have trust issues with my Octavia..
  15. Hi. Has anyone experienced this? Lost ability to control driver's side climate and heated seat, and climate hard switch not responding. 1989 software that has been fine so far. Thanks.
  16. In case anyone is interested, this issue was finally resolved today. Skoda dealer had the car in on three separate occasions: 30 October. Couldn't identify fault. Booked for 2 days. 13 & 14 November. Said was fixed, worked once on way home, then packed up. I noticed both washer nozzles were now broken, which they didn't admit to. 11 December. First date they could get the car back in. Faffed about, still couldn't fix it, decided car needed new reservoir and pump, but told me Skoda wouldn't handle as extended warranty claim. Quoted £372.48 Yesterday I booked the car in to a local independent (Moss and Hall Engineering, Stapleford). Job done at 1pm today, blocked filter cleared, 2 new jets fitted, total £194. No wonder main dealers have a bad reputation.
  17. No. Instructions are to leave the car and let it do its thing, engine doesn't need to be running
  18. If you're prepared to do a factory reset, there's no reason not to install the update. I think it's slightly quicker and slicker than 1985 and mine has been perfect since the reset.
  19. I could do, but thought they might be cheaper from an independent
  20. I've noticed that both front screen washer nozzles are broken, looks like someone tried to force them off and has broken the clips. I know the part number (5E3 955 985) but I can't find a UK retailer that has them. Any suggestions gratefully received.
  21. I think I've found a 1989 related change. The dashboard light colour slider (Vehicle/Interior) now works, I'm pretty sure it didn't work before. I don't have ambient lighting. Also, the option to set different patterns / textures for the screen seems to be gone.
  22. Exactly, it's an old problem that was resolved around 1941 (version not year). Beyond belief that the fault has been reinstated by this update. Anyway, factory reset seems to have sorted it
  23. That's exactly what mines was doing following the update, factory reset seems to have cured everything.
  24. It's certainly worth doing the reset. It's what you would do if selling the car, it clears all user settings, but most are restored when you log back on as primary user. Skoda should include this step as part of the update procedure?
