  1. Hi there. The button that you have highlighted in the picture stops the interior courtesy lights coming on when you open the door. Hope this helps.
  2. Hi there. Have you tried pressing the voice button on the steering wheel and once the system is ready say...."stop navigation" that seems to work for me.
  3. Hello to all. I have a 2024 L&K 2.0 tdi 4x4 estate and I have experienced the same crash protection issue with random seatbelt tightening and hazards flashing when I am towing a trailer. It is completely random and quite alarming when it happens. My car had "towbar preparation" fitted when I bought it but skoda were unable to supply me with a towbar as towbar (and the all important coding) were not yet available, forcing me to have a quality detachable towbar fitted by a reputable fitter. I also need to disable the rear alarms and rear emergency braking when I have the trailer on, or else I get problems when reversing but I can live with that. The latest from my skoda dealer in inverness, UK is that the only solution is to NOW have a skoda towbar fitted (presumably with the newly developed coding) at a cost of approx £1700. I would be interested to know if anyone with a factory fitted towbar experiences these forward driving, random, crash protection issues.
  4. Ha ha. Perhaps. To be honest they new a software upgrade was required for the overall vehicle systems to sort out little glitches. I had mine done in April 2025 and every now and again the system throws a little wobbler which is usually sorted by the time honoured, switch it off and switch it on again. Overall I'm quite pleased with the car and the removable quality towbar I had fitted was £724, as opposed to in excess of £1500 for a dealer version. Might be worth considering.
  5. Hi Timnus. I have a 2024 2.0 TDI superb estate, with towbar prep, (purchased July 2024) and wanted a swivel towbar fitted by dealer which was going to be pricey, around £1500. Dealer told me the actual part would not be available until October, then November, then January. I ended up having a detachable aftermarket towbar fitted by a reputable local towbar specialist. I would have done it myself but the coding issue was worrying me. Anyway, towbar fitted but no coding available for my guy to programme in. All the electrics work well but when I have a trailer hooked up, I need to go into the menu and disable the automatic rear braking function as when I'm reversing, the car thinks I'm going to hit something and slams the brakes on. Additionally and also a coding issue I suspect, whenever I am driving (forward) with a trailer on, the car will randomly go into crash protection mode and tension the seatbelts which can be quite alarming. My towbar guy says that this is due to the unavailability of the correct coding, which my local skoda dealer advise is still not available.
  6. Hi PhilSmith. See attached screenshot of the digital skoda superb manual. Where it says 'icons on top left of screen'..Read top right for a right hand drive car. Hope this helps. S
  7. Hi there. As john625 has stated, I can confirm that the mk 4 superb foes have auto hold. It can be added to the quick menu at the top of the main infotainment display so you can toggle it on or off, or you can find it by entering the vehicle menu on the ingotsinment screen, then selecting brakes which will lead you to a switch to select, or deselect auto hold. Once it is activated the words "autohold" illuminate in white once drive is selected and when you brake to a halt, and the auto hold activates, the word auto hold turns green. I will attempt to ost some pics with this reply. Hope this helps.
  8. Hi Baxm. I gently pushed and pulled at the trim behind the mirror until it came loose ( but didn't completely remove it) then I could see that the usb-c female inside had jumped out of the little, fragile clip holding it in place. I pused it back in, And then held it with my finger until my dashcam power lead was fully seated and making a good connection. I then clipped the plastic mirror trim stuff back into place. I Dare say if I remove my dashcam power lead I will have to do this all again. Hope this helps. S.
  9. Are you sure that the usb- c port, adjacent to the mirror won't power your dashcam? I have a 2024 L&K estate and the above port powers my nextbase dash cam. I had an issue with my c port however, as it was loose, within the housing and when I plugged in the connection was not fully made, resulting in non operation of the cam. I had to prize off the plastic cover to re seat the usb c port back in its place. That said, It does only switch on with the ignition but your cameras internal battery should be sufficient to operate the device should your car get bumped. Failing that and to avoid removing the A pillar trim, I have in the past run the camera supply cable up inside the internal part of the rubber door seal. Perhaps this may be an option? 😀
  10. Hello all. New user Stuartie here. I acquired a skoda superb estate, L&K, 2.0TD, 193bhp, 4x4 in July 2024 having driven a LWB Mitsubishi Shogun since 2017. The difference in driving height took a bit of getting used to, as did all the modern technology, but in all I am pleased I made the move and look forward to reading ( and providing) posts about the vehicle in the near future. Thanks.
