Can you turn off the automatic braking but keep the warning? This issue is not only on skoda. In work we rented a Volvo and it did the same, braking without anything in front of us. I was shocked because the road was empty. Maybe it detected a leaf or something. Anyway in Sweden where I live they have a good campaign on the price on the skoda superb. You get a lot for the money thats why I am considering a skoda again even if my octavia had so much issues in the beginning. I will talk to the salesman to see if he knows about all this software issues.

Hi Dan, Thanks for the update. Did the warnings pop up while driving or directly when starting the car? I had the same issue with my octavia when starting the car. What solved the issue was to replace the 12v battery. It seems like if the battery cant put out enough current at start some systems in the car just malfunctions. The battery still showed over 12v before the battery replacement. In skodas manual they recommend battery replacement every 4 year, like really? I guess modern car really put a lot of stress on the batteries. The warning also popped up if I had fog on the window in front of the camera. Took a long time to understand that.

Hi all, I was planning to buy the new Skoda superb PHEV. After reading this thread it gets me somewhat worried. I currently have skoda octavia mk4 PHEV. I bought it used and it came with so much issues. After a lot of repairs such as gear lever warning and latest software updates both for infotainment system and driver panel to solve flickering issues. After all that the car works flawlessly for over 8 months. This was a car is a 2021 model and it took skoda 3 years to solve all the software issues. Will it be the same with new superb? I know this question been asked before, did anyone here buy a 2025 model superb recently? What is your experience with a later produced model?

Update: I upgraded the software from version 1941 and all went well. I upgraded because I experienced light flickering in the instrument and infotainment panel which was super annoying. I haven't driven far but as of yet I didn't experience any flickering yet, lets hope the new software solved this issue.

Will this software work for all octavia models? I have octavia 2021 PHEV RS model. Is this software for this model as well?
