This is the part in question, this is the new piece held above the old piece in situ. Can it be replaced from the top/bottom, or does the throttle body have to come off?

So I've finally traced the leak to the plastic Y piece under the throttle body, the bottom hose on the Y is weeping where the hose clamp is, I have replaced the hose but looks like I need to replace the Y piece. I think I have to remove the TB in order to have access to the Y, is there an easier way, if not how do I remove the TB to gain access? Thankyou.

Cheers, much appreciated. Would you happen to know what the hose is I reference? I'll try putting a jubilee on later, but would like to order a new hose in the eventually it needs changing. Struggling to find a schematic with a part no. Thanks.

Hi, It is 99% leaking from that under that hose clamp, there is no fluid at a higher point than that. It's a plastic Y piece that comes off the waterpump, two hoses come off the Y, and it's the lower one that's leaking at the clamp, what is this lower hose called please, it seems to disappear towards the passenger side. Thanks in advance.

Please help! Coolant leak, need advice! Mk3 Tsi. This hose is leaking where it clamps onto the plastic pipe - can this be repaired or do I need to replace? Window regulator has just packed up in drivers side window, window has failed in the closed position though which is good. Is the window operation checked on the MOT, would it be a failure?! Thanks

It doesnt operate in reverse if the wipers are off, so i'll wire it to the reverse light instead. Ta.

These android units - will they work in place of the Bolero, just looking to have a nicer interface, and android auto, dont need anything ultra fancy. My car has the unit in the glovebox, so can i just change the screen part to an andriod touch screen? Ta.

Thanks JR. Yes, the garage scanned and no codes came up other that stop start. I thought the likely culprit could have been a temp sender, rough when cold and incorrect temperature measurement being displayed. Cheap and easy to fix, job done. Don't always rely on obd, sometimes a hunch is more accurate!

Fixed it, DIY style! No codes to show, but I had a hunch it was temp sensors, changed both and now it's back to how it should be, temp needle is correct, and cold starts are perfect.

Fitted both today, temp needle now behaving , and cold starts are now without stalling!

I've ordered both, the one by the radiator looks easy, the one on the block is behind an inlet pipe but looks accessible. Yes I have torqueapp, which also shows 90ish even before engine start, which matches with the engine temp gauge.

2.0 tsi vrs. Temp needle is shooting straight to 90c so think i have a bad temp sensor. What is their location please, so i can get the part nos and order some. Ta.
