  1. Good point, although I forget that I've turned them on then wonder why my mirror isn't dipping down when reversing. Not a biggie just a bit annoying.
  2. Thats how it is on mine. This is rather silly unless I'm missing something too 🤷‍♂️
  3. Average MPG is currently 56mpg. Mixture of City/A Road/Motorway. Normal driving with the odd spirited blast!
  4. With fairly careful driving about 600 maybe 650 if on a very long run. 2.0 TDI 140 Best MPG had been 75 doing around 50-55 for a long period.
  5. Hi all, I cant seem to find a straight answer on what Mk3 Badges to get. I keep hearing Citigo badges fit but are flat but I took my rear badge off (was KO'd anyway) and it is curved. Could anyone in very plain English tell me what Black and Chrome badges I need for the Bonnet & Boot. A couple of links would be handy.
  6. Could somebody tell me what may have been here where there double sided tape is on my boot lid:
  7. Okay, I'm on the lookout for the following and wondered if anybody cam help me keep the costs down: Lower Rear Arm (front wishbones both sides) Discs and Pads Front 312mm Sun Roof (obviously 2nd hand) Looked on autodoc but feel I'm going round in circles. Any pointers would be very much appreciated. It's a MK2 2.0 TDI 140
  8. Hi Everyone, Need some help tracking down a used sunroof as per the part number at the top. Really struggling to find one.
  9. Can't i just cut it out with wire snippers?
  10. I am going to sort out the EGR soon, will cut the notch on opposite side etc and turn it around.
  11. From what I understand the main reason the TDI's get massively caked is due to the EGR valve facing backwards towards the Throttle Body. Not too sure about Petrol ones other than the fact they burn cleaner?
  12. Could potentially be the Throttle Body, they get very clogged up. Before and After of mine I did the other day.
  13. Yes mate, 2.0 tdi on a 63 plate 140bhp
  14. The car is on 106000 currently and maybe a slight increase in response but not really in general performance, probably because once you have your foot down thw valve is still open. Feels a bit smoother pulling away and glad I did it but I will be modifying the EGR valve to stop it putting soot/carbon back into the Throttle Body. Terrible design!
  15. Well, I decided to do the old Throttle Body clean today and oh my word the amount of crud and soot deposits in there was ridiculous. After looking a quite a few vids on how to do do it and may I say making it look like child's play, I decided to give it a bash, after all, how hard could it be.....right? Wrong!! Unless you have arms like Stretch Armstrong (reference for anyone over 40) and hands like a schoolgirl, this is anything but easy. Fiddly is an understatement and the lack of room is quite something. Anyway, rant over about the supposed difficulty level (or my lack of skills) take a look at just how manky it actually was.
  16. Hi everyone, I am potentially looking at having to replace the runners and maybe even the whole cassette. Could somebody please let me have the part numbers for a second hand one, that I would need as I cannot/will not be getting a new one at over £1600. Half tempted to do the job myself.
  17. No, I poked it out when cleaning the tube 😂👍
  18. I went to a local one I have used many times before but I also went to a Skoda Specialist and showed him the video. He said as it was still coming out of the drain hole as well it looked more like the issue was from the top. So I pulled the roof lining away after taking off the visor and grab handle (which by the way I now need new clips for as I don't think these had ever been taken off and were really stuck and very brittle.) I do suggest using a tool similar to that of an air vent removal tool to get these off. When I looked at the drain plug it wasn't even connected to the tube....... at all!!!! I did take a pic but it didn't come out well. Reconnected the tube to the plug and.............. Comes straight out of the drain tube😎😎😎😎 Thank you so much for your advice throughout, I really appreciate it.
  19. A quick update. I will either need to be a magician or a borrower! The connection point is behind the dash. WTF! I have been to the garage and they have told me 3-4 hours for them at least to remove dash, fix the issue and replace dash. Or would I/they be able to get to this by taking the wing off? I have to say, what a terribly designed system. Not sure why my pictures seem to be uploading upside down.
  20. I couldn't quite get it off. To be honest I was afraid it was going to break. I'll give it a shot tomorrow mate cheers.
  21. Right, not happy at all!! Managed with a lot of patience to clean down inside the drain tubes only to find now when I pour water through the RHS water is now leaking into the footwell (see video). It is also coming out of the drain hole This is fast turning into a love/hate relationship and I'm already considering selling. 20250309_110447~2.mp4
  22. No I meant that if it's open and water/rainwater/condensation runs into the well at the front, it won't be able to drain and will then make the situation worse surely. If I keep it shut I'm guessing that eliminates the water getting to the well/ crap drain hole at all??
