  3. My error code come up sensor air quailty faulty, I looked at my windscreen on the passeneger side, I could not find it on! I looked on Youtube/BriSkoda shows the location is near the intake under windscreen cover, My is Octavia 2009 2.0TDI 140BHP PD Hatchback. Possible interior near the motor fan?
  4. I have a 2009 Octavia BKD 2.0TDI PD 140BHP. I was curious about what turbo it has on it. Garrett GT1749V? Well my turbo has failed two days ago, white smoke out of the exhaust, the engine it was running on it self with key out, I have to put in 5th gear to stall the engine, it was towed to my home, the mechical said he is well know of VAG cars, the Octavia have weaken turbo. He said it's better to upgrade the turbo rather than buy the same turbo in the next 60,000 miles, as it will happen again. The turbo had massive oil leaking in the turbine. My mechanic is waiting for my decision on whether to put a reconditioned or an upgraded turbo. Strangely, I had many VAG engine 1.9 PD and some had remapped, never had turbo issue. The Octaiva is standard, no tuning, but it had a turbo failure.

  7. Thank you for the information. My is Elegance. Fortunately, I have a connected plug located under the seats, ready to use. I have learned that my mother's model is SE, which does not have a connected plug, but it can be wired manually. Here is a picture of the area under my seat. Try do over the weekend.
  8. I know this is an old post. I have fitted all four lamps, connected the negative wires. Bought a pin 000979150E from eBay, I hope it's the correct one because he told me this will fit to PIN 50, which is a bigger metal pin. I have VCDS ready to activate but....... I looked and I could not find number 50 on the plastic. I took a picture to show, if you know which pin?
  9. I have a 2009 Skoda Octavia Elegance with a Climatronic screen, but I'm not sure about the exact model number. When I put the car in reverse, the screen displays how close I am to rear objects, and when I operate the climate control, the screen shows various icons. I would like to upgrade to an Android screen that is easier to access than my mobile phone. Will the reverse camera feed be displayed on the Android screen? Would I need to install a rear camera for this upgrade? I'm not concerned about the climate control screen, as the buttons are already illuminated. Any suggest?
  10. I have installed a performance air kit K&N intake on my Skoda Octavia 2.0tdi PD 140bhp 2009. Is the vacuum pipe on the old air filter box necessary to install a nipple on the new intake pipe? Or is it necessary to block the pipe with screw? What are these vacuums for?
  11. Is the fuel filter on my BKD Octavia 138 bhp high-pressure? Do I have to undo the safety valve to release the pressure to install a new filter?? Second, my oil sump has a big plug with wiring loom under. What are these?
  12. It blocked badly, since now clear no error. Why does it mention air mass? It has nothing to do with this, it is EGR. Why doesn't it say EGR on the diagnostic tool? It would make my life a bit easier to find the fault?
  13. I open the EGR pipe in front of the inlet manifold, grease lumps are blocking the inlet manifold. It looks like the faulty EGR is blocked. Carry out cleaning soon. To see if the light goes off this time, hopefully.
  14. The code isn't EGR?
  15. New air filter recently, will look the wires loom.
  16. I have follow your instructions, the 00258 did come back. The mass sensor looks new, I purchased the car a month ago.
  17. Idle flow is 382 mg/str through the mass, mean anything good or bad? out temperature is 12c.
  18. I found that my engine was rough starting in the cold morning about two weeks ago, scanned this. I did not know that I had problem with MAF, the car did go above 3,000rpm. But now won't go more than 3,000rpm after new glow plugs fitted, reset the code 005660 did not comeback, but only 000258 000258 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) P0102 - 000 - Signal too Low Freeze Frame Fault Status: 01110000 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 255 Mileage: 148003 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2063.14.31 Time: 00:29:55 Freeze Frame RPM: 1092 /min Speed: 0.0 km/h Load: 0.0 % Duty Cycle: 79.7 % Bin. 19. Octavia Mk2 facelift 2.0TDI PD 140bhp 2009, 91,000 miles, drove the engine is limit 3,000rpm. I do average 20,000 miles per year.
  20. I did not have a glow plug warning light on my cluster, but was told a faulty glow plug number three would trigger the engine management light for mass air sensor low circuit 000258. Since replacing the glow plugs, the engine runs smoothly on cold start-up. I have reset the code and it come back. The MAF still have error code 000258, I have cleaned it with spray and it won't go past 3,000 rpm, need a new one?
  21. I used own Fiat and PSA, when I look up for parts number, I have software for all parts numbers, which makes it easier for me to order the correct parts on eBay, etc. Because the other day I ordered new glow plugs from eBay, I gave them my reg number, and soon received it wrong shape plugs. And went to Eurocarparts again gave me the wrong glow plugs because my reg tells me that my engine is Common Rail, not PD! I was wondering if anyone knows where to find the Skoda Octavia parts catalogue?
  22. After fixing the rear wiper issue, drove to work, the engine shook a little on the first cold start, the light came on, engine management! aaaaarrrrrr! I got home from work, plugged in VCDS, scanned, and two were faulty. 000258 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) P0102 - 000 - Signal too Low Freeze Frame Fault Status: 01110000 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 255 Mileage: 148003 km Time Indication: 0 Date: 2063.14.31 Time: 00:29:55 Freeze Frame RPM: 1092 /min Speed: 0.0 km/h Load: 0.0 % Duty Cycle: 79.7 % Bin. I have purchased the glow plugs and rocker cover rubber seal, as my car is PD, not common rail. What about the mass sensor? replace?
  23. Found the 50amps fuse on the engine bay number F29 had green corrosion on the pins, instead of a new fuse now the wiper is back to normal bilmey🙄
  24. I have looked at both hoses at the tailgate, peeled off both tapes, no damage to the wiring loom! Weird, I am not sure what else to look at? If I don't get many responses few days, I shall go to my local Autocar Electrical.
