  1. I will try it in sports mode … that’s a good idea. I found this from Škoda, relating to the Elroq https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/skoda-world/the-elroq-sounds-unique-hear-for-yourself/
  2. I have a Mk2 Kodiaq PHEV, and I’m generally very happy with the vehicle. I read somewhere on the Škoda website that all PHEVs and EVs should have an electronic engine noise when driving at slow speeds as a way of protecting pedestrians. I don’t think my car makes any noise (other than a very quiet whine from the electric motor) when it’s moving. (I have stood next to the car as it was being driven and didn’t hear anything) I guess the question is, should it make a noise?
  3. Yes, from Masterplug (Amazon).
  4. I would certainly ask the dealer about it, and make it clear that the absence of this feature is making you doubt the purchase … any extra pressure on them will help. I have had mine for a month or so now …. Love it! I have got around the lack of the feature by installing a timer in the socket …. So I can turn on the charging at 00:30 when the cheap rate starts.
  5. My car (PHEV) is working fine, but I have had a couple of incidents of the “Proactive Occupant Protection system” not working. Do we know what the latest version is?
  6. I just had a look at my SportLine, and it has no mud flaps … although there is a pair of (what look like) mud flaps in front of the rear wheels, but I assume these are for aero reasons?
  7. I have a Mk2 Kodiaq SportLine, and had never noticed that … I had to go and look at my car to see what you meant!! One benefit with the SportLine is the D pillar is gloss black :)
  8. I had the same issue, and I found this guy talking about the infotainment system in a VW ID car … and it’s pretty much identical to that in “our” Kodiaq. He does a good job of explaining it all … give him a try ;)
  9. I am using a Meross MSS315 smart socket and it’s working fine. It gets a little warm but not hot. It has a temperature sensor and it will cut out if it gets too hot (70 degrees for 30 mins). Could it be the mode 2 cable that’s causing the issue? I have one from Masterplug and it seems to be pretty good. I only charge at 10A (for safety)… can you select a lower power level?
  10. I have a new Kodiaq PHEV, and I have noticed that when I unlock the car, and open the door, I see the brake pedal depress slightly almost instantly. It doesn’t go down very far, but I’d be interested if anyone had any idea on why the car does it?
  11. I use the app frequently, and other than in the first day or two when it refused to connect because I was draining the battery I have had no issues. It’s not always instant, but it always connects within 20 to 30 seconds. iPhone if that’s important?
  12. I have had this pop up a couple of times now. It’s always been within a few seconds of starting to drive, and appears and disappears in a few seconds. I have a (refreshingly short) list of things that I will book the car in for …. It’s only a month old, so want to get all the small things together so they can hopefully fix them all in one visit …. But time will tell!
  13. I’ve had mine just over a week. I’m loving it so far
  14. Pull them off and see what you think …. I have put mine in a bin bag in the loft! I think much better without them (and easier to clean too!)
  15. After asking for clarity on how and when the "Departure planner" feature would be rolled out, I got what I think is quite an encouraging response from Skoda Customer Service: This certainly seems to imply that this will be 're-activated' in my car ... so hopefully, it will be the same for anyone with this model :)
  16. I knew I’d seen it somewhere!!
  17. I thought the fix for the travel assist issues was to replace the cruise control stalk (the lower one on the left hand side)?
  18. thanks … that’s confirmed what I thought. It doesn’t seem to work in the car, so I will get it sorted under warranty. The seat adjustment buttons work, but the memory features don’t. I think there is a comfort access thing too that moves the seat back to make it easier to get in and out. That doesn’t work either.
  19. I have been asking Customer Service about the lack of this feature, and their latest response said: “Thank you for your patience and for bringing the issue with the charging planning feature to our attention. We’ve confirmed with our technical team that there is currently a known limitation affecting this functionality, and it is temporarily unavailable. Please rest assured that our development team is actively working on a resolution. We will keep you informed as soon as the service is restored. In the meantime, we truly appreciate your understanding and continued support.” I have now asked when will this be available and how will it be activated in my car. I’m awaiting a response to that at the moment.
  20. Yes, thanks @Monkhai I realised that the terminology (as with a lot of car specifications) can be quite ambiguous. I guess that's one of the main benefits of a platform like this ... ask people who have the same car and see what they say :) Hopefully someone who has a SportLine can have a look and let me know :)
  21. Hi all, I have just taken delivery of a Kodiaq iV in SportLine trim, and I am really impressed so far. One thing I want to check is about what in the specification, is listed as “Acoustic side and rear windows with sunset”. I believe the “sunset” is the darkened privacy glass in the rear, but I notice that the front side windows look like they are double thickness, but the back ones are single thickness …. If there is acoustic glass front and rear, should they both be ‘double’ thickness? If someone else has a SportLine, can you have a look and see if (when you lower the windows) the front door glass is thicker than the glass in the rear doors Thanks
  22. I have just found this description in the online user manual User guide This is the method I have tried, and it doesn’t work, so I suspect there is something else wrong …. A call to Škoda is in order I think!
  23. Hi @barrieb Thanks for that explanation. I have just tried that, and it doesn’t work. I have noticed that I can move the seat to any position I want, and pressing any button (1,2 or 3) does not make the seat move at all, so I’m wondering if there is a bigger issue?
  24. Hi all, I got my Kodiaq iV SportLine yesterday, and it comes with an electrically operated driver seat, with programmable memory positions. I have searched online, looked in the printed manual, searched the online manual, but cannot find a way to program the seat position that works! YouTube says press the set button, then press and hold the required memory location until you hear the ‘bong’. I cannot get it to work. Am I missing something? Ignition on or off? Seat belt on or off? Door open or closed? Any ideas where I am going wrong? Thanks
  25. Arrived today. Kodiaq iV SportsLine - Love the colour … and I suspect those wheel covers will come off soon!
