Kodiaq iv (2024) - Departure planner
I have been badgering Skoda Customer Services since last June about the lack of this feature … they keep promising it will be delivered but are unable to say when. In my view, if they can’t provide a date, it’s likely because they don’t think they will ever deliver the feature.

Departure Planner
I have been inconstant dialogue with Skoda customer service, and they will not give any date for this feature to be reinstated (it was there to begin with). I have been as blunt as I can be, asking for a rough release date, and they claim they do not know (which is of course a lie). I have pointed out that this is actually costing me money as I cannot schedule a charge. I have pointed out that someone, somewhere in the company must have a roadmap, but they will not even give a 6-month window ... my personal view is that this feature will never be released. It might be good to contact them to say you are a prospective buyer, and it's a key feature that is stopping you buying one right now.... every little helps :)

2025 Kodiaq IV remote start and car alarm
I have the Skoda Kodiaq IV in Sportsline trim. I use the pre-heat feature frequently (probably 30 times by now), and it has never set the alarm off. Maybe I'm just lucky, but at least you know its not all cars that do it ;)

Heating when stationary
The feature is standard in any EV (or PHEV). It’s usually called pre-conditioning and is used to remotely heat (or cool) a car before getting in it. The same feature is used when parked up and you need heat (or cold) as it avoids needing to run the ICE
-
Heating when stationary
He specifically says there is power in the battery, and so I’m pretty sure it’s the PHEV, otherwise he would just run the engine

Programming seat position memory
I took the car into the dealer and they have fixed the issue now.

Automatic Seat Heating in passenger seat
I have a Kodiaq PHEV and I have it set so that the seat heaters come on automatically when the outside temperature is low. The option to activate this is just on or off. I find that the drivers heater comes on anytime it’s cold but the front passenger (even though someone is sitting in the seat) does not come on. My previous car used to switch both front seats on (if they were occupied). Is this as expected, or is something not working? Thanks

Heating when stationary
The feature you want is “Stationary Air Conditioning”, and it’s in vehicle settings (top row, right hand end - but I have moved those about so could be in another place on the screen for you … swipe left or right for additional settings). In the pic you can see that I have set it as a shortcut (green icon to the right of the clock)…. Tap it to turn it on (turns green), tap it to turn it off (goes grey). This is the same feature that allows you to pre-heat (or cool) the car from the app (on the app home page it’s called target temperature)

My Skoda app will not “wake” the car
It appears I can’t unlock the doors! To try to re-connect, I am considering deleting the car out of the app, and re-adding it, but I don’t want to lose all the journey data that has been collected

Auto emergency stop for no reason?
I think it’s the exact opposite … they refer to them as collisions because there IS something you can do. The term accident implies it was ‘just one of those things’ when in reality there is invariably something that could have been done.
-
My Skoda app will not “wake” the car
Strangely, I can start the remote heating, even though the app never goes 'online', but I can't check the current charge state etc. I'll try unlocking the doors and see if that works!

My Skoda app will not “wake” the car
Since I got the car (Kodiaq IV - about 6 months ago) the My Skoda app has worked with no issues. A couple of days ago it seems to have stopped waking the car up …. so the app always says ‘activating’ but never get to ‘online’ (or whatever it says). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Proactive Occupant Protection fault
@Cairus can you explain what a TPI is … is that some instructions to a dealer to carry out a specific task, or does it imply there is a software update for each of those control units?

Charging the Kodiaq PHEV more than once
Hi all, If I charge the car (Kodiaq Mk2 PHEV with a ‘granny charger’) for any length of time e.g. one hour, then some time later (without disconnecting the cable) try to charge it again, it fails to charge. The charger cable shows a fault condition and the car does not charge. Is this expected behaviour, or is this weird? If this is not expected, is it likely to be the cable or the car that’s causing the issue? Thanks

Charging limits on PHEV
I tend to stick to the 20% - 80% range, but I am aware that even when the battery is flat … there is a hidden residual charge that stops you doing any damage. While I try to stick between the above limits, if I need 100%, then I charge it fully (but will not let it sit for days at 100%) and will run it until it’s ‘empty’ - it’s there to be used! I believe that the specific battery chemistry in the Kodiaq (LFP) needs to be charged to 100% occasionally to maintain the management systems calibration. I read somewhere that LFPs also prefer occasional charges rather than constant tiny top ups. I charge mine to 80%, use it until it’s below 50% (that may be one day or over several days, then charge overnight back to 80%

Constant creaking / rattling from the doors of my Kodiaq Mk2
Hmmm... it might be! One thing that was suggested to me is to open the window a tiny bit.... not enough that you can see its open, but just enough to allow a tiny gap between the top of the window and the window frame. If you do that and it helps, it's probably the seals. To be honest, the stuff only cost about £3, so it has to be worth a go ... I was in the same situation as you... the creaking noise was really frustrating, but this has cured it totally.

Kodiaq iv (2024) - Departure planner
This is the one I bought: Masterplug EV Charging Cable for... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DMFMGC89?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share It’s 10m long and works flawlessly. I connect it via a Meros Smart Plug Meross Matter Smart Plug Mini... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CCXQMVHS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share It gets a little warm, but not hot. Using the smart plug means I can adjust the timing easily, and I have set up an automation in the Apple Home app so that the socket only turns on if I am at home. So far it’s worked really well, and the Meros app even allows me to monitor how much the electricity has cost.

Items on Goodbye Screen
If you scroll to the bottom of the list, you will find the deleted items there... and you can add them back to the top section. I did the same thing the other day (by accident) so I'm pretty confident you should be able to sort it out :)

Items on Goodbye Screen
I think that when you turn the car off, that page appears, and I believe there is a ‘pencil’ icon in the corner of the screen … to edit the content on the screen

Switching off Travel Assist, ACC, or Speed Limiter.
The bottom 3 items are only activated if you pull the stalk (lower left) towards you. They are active assist systems, rather then the top 2 which are warning systems (pinging and clanging at you when you go to fast etc). If you don’t pull the lower stalk towards you, they are never active

CarPlay with iOS 26 Public Beta
Is anyone else running the public beta of iOS26 on their iPhone? It’s working perfectly for me, other than an issue with CarPlay. It seems to connect for a while (10-15 mins) then suddenly disconnects, and I haven’t yet managed to get it to reconnect. Often when I try to reconnect, the infotainment system says something about turning on WiFi in the infotainment system (but as far as I can tell, it’s already on). I hope it will sort it self out in time, but wondered if anyone else was having problems . Kodiaq Mk2 SportLine

Constant creaking / rattling from the doors of my Kodiaq Mk2
Since I had the car, every time I drove it, it has had what my wife called a rattling from the doors. I always characterised it as a creak. As the car is otherwise so quiet (especially when on battery at slow speed) it was quite noticable. After trying to narrow it down, I found a video on YouTube that described the issue exactly (but on a Lexus) - https://youtu.be/BoYCCckQdQs?si=Q549W00RwkRYLK9o The guy in the video recommended applying a product to each of the door seals and claimed it pretty much cured the issue. The product he recommended was about £15, so I opted for the cheaper version at £3.82 - https://amzn.eu/d/9bGPMFX It has worked brilliantly, and now my quiet car has become an almost silent car. If you have an annoying creak from your doors, give this stuff a try. I was very impressed.

I had not noticed that … and once you see it, you can’t unsee it!

Reset Trip Recorder
There is a trip history in the My Škoda app … (or at least there is in the beta version) could it be related to that?
