Airbag light on after flat battery
I have for the second time the same issue. airbag light just came on one morning. No downsides on any other component of the car but i really dont know if the airbags will work if needed! I had some low battery issues and went to the dealer the 1st time. They erased the fault and told me that it was due to low battery. This time i have tried with 3 different obdII scanners and cannot find the active fault so i can erase it. I tried clearing the SRS section but no faults are being found.

Skoda Kodiaq I Facelift 2023 2.0L TDI 150PS 2 years of use. Issues and problems (nothing crazy)
Well, all the 3 times the coolant was at just below min value and added up to almost max value. I would recon around 300ml each time!?

Skoda Kodiaq I Facelift 2023 2.0L TDI 150PS 2 years of use. Issues and problems (nothing crazy)
Hello, Just sharing my experiences of 2 years driving the Kodiaq for under of 30k km. I will just tell my experience which is mostly positive but i had some issues i would like to share. 1) Battery issues. For inexplicable reason my wife decided to stay in the car for 1 hour listening to music with some lights on and the car would not start. She had to wait 10 extra minutes before the car deciding it had enough power to start by itself. Next time we had to jump start it using cables and since then this has happened 3 times. I understand that discharging battery would affect their life but i would not expect a new battery 6months old to behave like this. I guess battery is not covered by warranty. 2) Coolant low. 3 times already the car has asked for engine coolant. Once after a 3 hour trip and then other 2 after smaller journeys. I added some distilled water to the max line each time. Well, never before with my VAG cars had issues with coolant getting evaporated 3 times in 2 years. Don't think there is a leak but who knows. 3) Airbag fault. Twice now and for no apparent reason the yellow airbag icon has appeared. I took it to the dealership where they said that the fault had to be cleared and it was from the low battery situation. Currently the airbag light is on without having trouble with the battery. 4) Driver door misalignment. After 1.5 years the driver door started making an annoying hissing sound on the driver side. above 100km/h the sound was really annoying. Anyway they had to adjust the door at the dealership. 5) Amudeus system. Generally ok but a some disconnections in Car play, restarts and small issues with stability. I am more interested on the first 3 issues, if any other user had similar issues and how they overcome them.

Correct Oil Type
Hello all, A question that i still have unanswered regarding correct oil for my DTSB 2.0 diesel engine On the Skoda website using my VIN and looking at the manual the recommendation for the oil is 5W-30 VW504 00 spec! (as i write this I either remember wrongly but currently the site suggests to follow the sticker instructions (Mandela effect!?)) Anyways, upon opening the engine bay there is a sticker notifying oil use of VW 508 00 / VW509 00 / SAE 0W-20. Well this is confusing. If it was only the Hot Rating different i would be ok since i am in Greece and generally the weather is not too cold, :) but this suggests a different Viscosity as well..... Last oil change i took the privilege of spending ~70euros on getting 5l of Castrol Edge 5W-30LL and used that. What is your recommendation on this? Should i change the oil to 0W-20 or the 5W-30 is ok!?
