  1. So what if you block these sensors, could this alter the emergency brake system? Unlikely, but it's worth the try
  2. I've been using 70mai 4k A800SE for about 8 months now (since I got the car). Front-facing camera only, didn't bother installing one in the rear. I got it for how much the A510 was at the time, but with these higher model number doesn't always mean newer/better... No issues, so far I haven't seen it glitch and it hasn't melted under the Greek summer sun (yet) Came with a USB-A connector...found a 20cm USB-A to USB-B flat cable. With the right cable, the install is fairly clean It uses WiFi Direct to pull recordings on your phone. I haven't tried connecting it to the car's WiFi access point to make downloading easier (as you do need to disconnect CarPlay/Android Auto) Quality is on par with other devices I've seen online, it's fair for what you pay. A CPL filter might come in handy (can be bought separately for 70mai). The double front windshield can cause interior reflections
  3. Absolutely, I've noticed the same, and it's been quite useful. The "eye sensors" seem pretty accurate. They can catch you even when youโ€™re almost looking straight ahead ๐Ÿ˜„. The safety features are very welcome, @Badelhas , though I'm questioning the implementation (and others, same complaints in the Passat B9 groups and forums). So... make as much noise as possible to increase the chances of this being fixed retroactively, not just in a future facelift
  4. I had this happen during my last visit to the dealer. They were running diagnostics to fix the massage function (to no avail). The speakers sounded very flat with some noticeable noise. Everything went back to normal the next morning - normal as in Canton's usual low quality.
  5. Itโ€™s a fairly widespread issue, and Iโ€™m increasingly convinced most of the false positives are due to some delay in the system. Not so much from sensors or the message bus, but from a controller/s or some post-processing and decision logic. The sensors clearly have awareness of trajectory relevance and steering angle, and the system might be performing additional object classification before acting. In many cases, emergency braking activates moments after a potential event has already occurred - when encountering a curb, a vehicle in the blind spot, or while reversing. The system also appears to behave more aggressively when a passenger does not have their seatbelt. I correlate this to the noticeable delay in both front and rear cameras. If cameras are used in any of these decisions, that could be part of the culprit. As others have observed, lightly pressing the brake in tight spaces helps, but this is obviously not a practical workaround when the system triggers unexpectedly on straight roads, roundabouts... That's quite a speculation, but in any case, I seriously doubt this will ever get fixed ad-hoc.
  6. Which sw version do you have? 2630 & display unit 4047?
  7. A software bug wouldโ€™ve been isolated and fixed within a month, with another month for testing and release. However, a hardware or design flaw that youโ€™re trying to overcome with firmware may take much longer - if it can be resolved at all. I could be wrong, but anything not fixed in a 2-3 months period likely requires hardware changes, which I imagine is a curse word in a manufacturer's world. Looking at the Enyaq's forums and fw releases, I'd bet a lot of the dev team attention is on it. On that note, do you guys think there are OTA updates for ICE vehicles besides the various apps/non-core components?
  8. Iโ€™ve noticed that on my car the Auto Hold seems to keep the brake engaged a little too long. By the time it releases, Iโ€™ve already pressed the accelerator quite a bit, so the engine revs, meets some resistance, and then the car moves forward. Maybe Iโ€™m exaggerating, but thatโ€™s the overall feel. Iโ€™m curious if this is normal behavior or if others experience the same thing. Iโ€™m also comparing it with an EV, so the difference might just be natural.
  9. Wait, you have an oil dipstick and not a sensor? 2.0 TSI 265hp EA888?
  10. Superb TSI 265 produced May '25: Driver-side (LHD) massage function not fully working - was told and still waiting on a software fix Few occasional assistant issues for the past 10k km, but not to the point to stall the car. They got fixed by itself while driving, maybe a temporary sensor/s issue. Car stalled twice on the highway on the same trip - proper misfires and engine went into limp mode. I was told bad fuel but a restart fixed it. I mention it because I also had various errors while it stalled about assistances at the same time...
  11. On the estate, online resources suggest a 30cm safe distance from the back. I've parked mine as close as 10cm from a wall and still managed to open the boot. But if you are parking within these tolerances, expect emergency park brake or however it's called to be a bigger issue.
  12. That might seem pretty desperate measure on the surface, but the unit could have bricked during patching, thus the replacement. Just imagine how many updates itโ€™s gone through in 28 days at the shop... Fingers crossed it solves it finally and kudos to your patience! I feel like earlier units had this major flaw, and the manufacturer disabled the functionality in recent batches to prevent awkward seating positions (judging by the May/June produced units) until a fix is released.
  13. @JackP there's a pair of cushions in 2 columns (3 rows) at the back rest. The whole left column does not activate during massage. The lumbar supports are not affected by this. Mind you, mine is LHD if it matters. The passenger seat is flawless. The dealer stripped the seat, checked all connections, ran diagnostics (hopefully). They did confirm that it's a known issue by manufacturer, it's a software bug and it will get patched over the air.
  14. Mine was produced in June 2025. Two things that popped so far: driver's massage seat does not inflate all coushins - dealer confirmed it's a software issue ๐Ÿ™ƒ sporadic driver assistance errors - happened twice but it seems common among other owners. Although it did happen after the car was running for hours. They did clear on their own... Based on my preliminary research, I expected worst experience but still purchased the car. Hopefully they'll get addressed, but in reality, the facelift would be butter smooth imo.
  15. The massage on the driver side on mine is not working (only half of the coushins are inflating). Dealer confirmed it's a known issue, software update is in the works. It could be the same root cause. I bet there's a client superb somewhere which is getting the -rc-latest-latest fw somewhere :)
  16. 2.0 TSI 265, still in break-in period under 2000km. Light city traffic 10l/100km or ~28mpg Mixed 7-8l/100 35-40mpg Winter + heavy city traffic might hit 12-14l/100km 20mpg if not more, we'll see. No surprises overall, not too far from B58 but only in consumption :)
  17. Dealer just rerurned mine about the driver seat massage partially working. They confirmed it's a known issue and a software update over the air is in the works. Should pop up in car recall menu once released. Ventilation is indeed mediocre, we'll see if the update changes anything but I seriously doubt it.
