  1. Thank you
  2. I want to carry a spare key fob battery, I have read somewhere that it is a CR 2032, but some times a different one is used? My key fob is the one where the physical key pulls out, i.e. not hinged. 2025 sportsline.,
  3. Thaks
  4. I read the handbook yet again and it seems that the function to deactivate is the called the SAFE function.
  5. Locking the car normally I see that the drivers door indication flashes at intervals continuously. To disable the movement sensor I double click the fob button and I notice it flashes quickly a few times then goes out then, after about 5min it then flashes at about once per second. There is a reference to this in the handbook but to me it is not clear. At the end of the month we will be doing the 30 hour Santander crossing and I would not like the alarm going off for that time! Are my observations correct? I note that there is also a dismovement sensor in the setting on the dash display, is this the same as the double click? Karoq, 1.5 Sportsline, Aug 2025
  6. I was about to ask the same question as we are shortly to do the Santaner crossing, I note the above in that the light goes off for a time when disabled, but about 10 min later it does flash but at a silghtly different frequency to normal?
  7. Each subscription? There are two? Is the satnav separate from the connect subscrption? My phone pairs with the car on blutooth fine as I use it for Google maps which at the moment I use for navigation as I am familiar with it.
  8. Oh, I am vagually aware of Skoda connect but nothing was said about it when I bought the car. I will have to look into it. Is this the thing that is free for the first 3 years then have to pay for it? And how much? The glitches that I had from new put me off pairing my phone to the car.
  9. 2025 August sportsline. My system information tells me my software is Ver. 23.6, on the skoda download portal with my VIN, it gives the latest as 26.2. This to be downloaded to an SD card. In the Skoda online manual it refers to automatic download and/or manual download. However my 2026 does not have an SD slot, only two USB-C slots. Does this mean that the later models only do it over the air? The system infomation screen does have a "download now" option but I have seen on this site that this would then request an SD card inserting. Anyone done a navigation database update on a late model Karoq? In the first 6 months of my car I have had two software glitches causing a fail to start, with every possible error message scrolling though , rectified by locking the car and leaving it, Sokda dealer finding no faults only a "glitch"! I know that this would not be the navigation software, it would be the "cars" software, but it does make me very warey.
  10. To clarify, my 2025 Karoq has Matrix headlights and a manual changeover in the menus.
  11. Thank you, I should have read the thread more carefully.
  12. There is a selection in the info menu it works well. You can also change the dash to km/hr which is very helpful.
  13. How do you apply this liquid gold? A cloth would absorb too much. A finger perhaps? I can see that a nylon cord would be good for the front drains from the top, but the rear ones seem inaccessible from the top or am I missing something? I watched a good youtube on this, but they did not mention the rears.
  14. We have a 25 plate Sportsline 1.5. On comfort setting the ride is OK on the 40 profiles, on normal definately too harsh. Not tried the sports mode. The low profile tyres are very easy to kerb the wheels. I will fit AllSeason tyres next but that may be 2 years away. Allseason tyres transformed the ride for the better on our Fiesta and previous Outlander, grip and turn-in were also noticably better. Just had to have replaced a cracked windscreen, stone chip, 5 weeks to get the heated screen imported. I do not find the wire distracting my wife's fiesta is much worse. My wife likes the sunroof for interor brightness and viewing (keen bird watcher!) but now I know the complications of having one I would prefer not to have it, I have never opened it, though I should to check for debris.
  15. I'm getting less confused now! I need to start again. The photo above I found on the system page I can see now is for the Sat Nav (which I need to something about). I took up the offer for update 03U1_01, and I am assuming that this up date is the car software update for the engine and other systems. The Update 03U1_01 went without problems although I see another thread where some have had problems with the OTA downloads. I had not thought that OTA meant Over The Air! Anyone know what the 03U1_01 update was for? The photo that I should have started with is below, obviously not the Sat Nav but probably a more importent engine / car general update.
  16. Thank you.
  17. Thanks, it did say at the bottom "update software" at the bottom. I may try that. Hesitent with up dates as when the car was only 3 days old it failed to start with every possible error messages scrolling through. After many trys, + locking the car up and trying again later it started OK. Went to the dealer who spent about a hour on it found no faults and suggested it was a glitch. Not good!! recently 5 months later it did the same thing but persistent restarts / locking and leaving, finally started!
  18. Sorry, but what is OTA software please?
  19. So it is software for the Nav. system then, not the car / engine software. Odd though that it gave a big warning not to drive the car while it was doing it for 20 min?
  20. Yesterday the car offered an over the air update 03U1_01 which I accepted. Is this for the car's electronics / engine etc, or is it for the Sat nav? This is the staus now. 2025 Karoq Sportline. I have just noticed the "Update Software" so I am more confused what software I have updated. I had assumed System meat the car's system, not the satnave.
  21. I plugged my phone into the USB-c connector, selected media, set the phone to play Spotify music and the car will output random MP3 and MP4 files from the phone, but not the one actually playing on the phone. What am I doing wrong? I am not using the Blutooth connection as that is used for outputting Google maps from another phone to the car display. I have not yet found any reference to the USB c input in the handbook, although it probibly is there somewhere. 2025 Sportline 1.5.
  22. My Karoq sportline 3000 miles, looses grip very easily when accelerating. If I am not careful I also can get transmition judder . I put it down to the Bridgeton tyres.
  23. I tried the holding down the Lock button and that worked OK, until as suggested above, I stopped at a junction then on moving off the doors locked! With a car that is only 4 moths old I would not go down the OBD route. I assume they unlock in the event of an accident? Unlike Teslers.
  24. Thanks, I suppose however it reapplies on next start up. I will give it a try. I have tried a quick press when driving off but seconds later the door lock again.
