  1. I already have color light, as you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U86_TLvWndg I'm surprised how little information's are known for this type of MMI, as I think there is plenty of them on the market. Is it possible that no one have any idea about this questions? Link to any firmware which could work with train MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P7021L MU: 8190, HW: 612? How to disable signature check on firmware update? Or any other way how to update firmware on this unit?
  2. Well, your admap is more/less same as mine, except you have BCM HIGH so you have wider color pallet. Anyway adaptation channels not have any option releated to MMI, there is options for configuring different ambient light equipment such as VC, door strips, speakers, central console, dashboard etc. I believe MMI is automatically on when you activate Ambient lights menu and color palette. Is your train version MEN2_EU_SEGPx_7021L and MU version 8190 or newer?
  3. Hi, thank you for admap, i started to analyze differences between my and your, but didn't find enough time in past couple days. I will update thread when analyze and test. Also do you have color instrument cluster, and do you have SWING or something else?
  4. @Cairus What coding do I need? Please send me.
  5. There is a lot to say about coding, i personally used this resources: VAG CodingOctavia 3 (5E) Facelift - Ambient Light Activation (color...Purpose: to activate the Ambient Light option on your MIB for changing screen and Virtual Cockpit colors (depending on your MIB version, you may not be able to activate all 30 colors, but only 10). 6. Hello everyone, here I am again with one retrofit which partially did. I have idea of installing footwell, optic ambient tubes in door trims and dashboard trims. For now only footwell is installed. Initially I wanted to fully complete and then write but I got stuck at one problem so I need HELP. I bought cheapest set of four footwell lights which support LIN for around 35€ at AliExpress, And because my BCM doesn't have C29 pin (which you must have for LIN communication) I also bought LIN decoder for around 30€. Wiring is pretty simple and well explained on available tutorials over internet. You basically connecting + from footwell to SC8 7,5A fuse, ground to grounding point and LIN to C29 on BCM. But if you don't have C29 pin on BCM then you need to buy decoder (or replace BCM) which + also going to SC8 7,5A fuse, ground to grounding point, and LIN output to LIN input on the footwell. Next step is coding, which I did with ODIS (VCDS also fine), you can follow up any of tutorials, there is at least 3-4. This is how it looks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U86_TLvWndg PROBLEM: My swing MMI doesn't support color themes for itself. I can change color and intensity of footwell light but light on swing doesn't change. I believe problem is in obsolete and buggy firmware MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P7021L with MU 8190, which I can't update to only available firmware which is MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P0080L with MU 8755 because I always get error like a, signature source couldn't be verified. Here you can see that under Engineering menu>HMI Look and Feel>Runtime color switch you can change manually color. https://www.drive2.ru/l/543886347014766736/ My unit doesn't have that option at all. I searched whole internet on different languages and cannot find solution how to update firmware to MU 8755 or at least any other firmware. I will be very thankful for anyone who can send me any firmware which could work for my unit, or point me how to disable signature check or avoid it with some other way.
  7. Just follow what is written already. https://mib-helper.com/im-so-xory/ There is couple steps...
  8. It should work with or without 1.8 adapter, you can try both options. If it still dosent read, then you need to unsolder chip or at least unsolder vcc leg.
  9. It is releated with something about Component Protection. Probably there is possibility something could go wrong, you need to update software and with that VCRN (Vehicle Component Registered Number) you can turn off CP I guess. Not sure about that. Also there is stated that if you can not read it with clamp, you have to unsolder chip, or at least unsolder VCC leg. It is possible that other people who had problems with reading with clamp had MU version which start with 0 🤔
  10. No idea, I didn't go that deep. Also never saw MU which start with 0, usualy starts with 8 or 7.
  11. There is no too much data unfortunately, we can try and experiment. If it does not working you can write original .bin = return to default state.
  12. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/535342-activating-smartlink-on-swing-3/page/2/ You can see at page 2, @Lokizz did it with desoldering. I not recommend desoldering due to risk of mistake. First try without desoldering with/without 1.8v adapter.
  13. ODIS/VCDS will show faults under the infotainment, or "no communication" if infotainment not working at all. This will give you direction to the problem.
  14. Are you sure the display is oriented correctly after assembling the unit? There might be something inside the connector or a similar issue. You should also check the system with ODIS or VCDS for any errors and confirm whether you can access the infotainment module. That will give you feedback what might be causing the problem. When soldering, make sure the EEPROM chip is oriented correctly. Check carefully that no legs are shorted and that every single pin is properly soldered. You need to use a magnifier to inspect the solder joints thoroughly.
  15. You can read it with clip even without 1.8v adapter, because ST95256-R can be read in range 1.8v-5.5v. I did it with, and without 1.8v adapter, working in both options.
  16. Try it again, unsolder, and solder again... It is probably not well soldered. However I strongly discourage desoldering as it is not simple proces, if you want to do it properly. In my experience, I did this process of activating smartlink 4 times, every single time it was possible without unsoldering... If problem persist I recommend you take unit at some mobile phone service or similar, and ask them do soldering of eeprom chip.
  17. Both questions are already answered on first post. Red LED was lit, as you can see in the picture on first post in this thread.
  18. Yes, that is it. You must be sure everything is connected acording to this tutorial. And try couple times to connect with clamp, if it still not working then probably you have to desolder chip from pcb...
  19. I did it without desoldering, few people reporter the same way. On the other hand some people desoldered it. Try first on PCB, if not working then desolder and try again. 95256 is EEPROM.
  20. Forget chat gpt, it Is possible with clamp, I did it, and few more people also...
  21. 1.bin is original. @Zlatko580 and @wegorz-pwo Please respect the forum rules and post in English. Thank you, Briskoda Admin.
