Ive searched on this and havent really got a specific answers,there seems to be alot of misinformation out there regarding this,Firstly i have just got a 2006 octavia vrs petrol, and its due a big service, it has 120000kms on it(75kish miles), now in the service book it says the timing belt to be changed at 180kms,does anyone know that you should change it sooner than 180000kms or whats the story with it?Thanks alotDarren
  2. Yeah i had a bmw that was like this, it was the waterpump, as liverpool lad said might aswell get the cambelt and tensioners done, not cheap tho!
  3. Hi there, Just wondering has anyone put a HID setup on there foglights,my octavia didnt come with xenon lights so considering putting a HID setup in the projector lens for the fogs? Anyone done it? Cheers
  4. Thanks for the advice, Just found receipts it was changed 3000 miles ago along with the tensioners and water pump:)

Hi guys, Only new here,got my octavia vrs 02 the other day,it has high enough milage with 90k on the clock and a full skoda stamped service history, just wondering would the timing belt have been changed by skoda in that time? Im going to ring up the garage where the stamps are from and ask but could any of you guys save me the phone call? Cheers Darren
  6. hello guys Darren from dublin in ireland here, Purchased my first skoda last week,its an 02 octavia vrs and so far am loving it! Having owned several unreliable cars in the past 2 years(subaru,lancia,peugeot) i decided to go for the german/czech and see,so far am loving it,my brother has an audi s3 aswell Cheers Darren
