Ghost speed limits
I presumed it was getting it from GPS data like Waze does however on the A75, there are outdated 40mph signs for lorries see image and the car changed its limit to 40mph which is obviously incorrect. Therefore I'm thinking there is a front facing camera which reads the speed limit signs similar to it reading other signs which then flag up on the dash, ie narrow road, roundabout, wild animals.

Virtual pedal stopped working - ideas?
Doesn't it say in the manual that it doesn't work well in the rain or if the car is dirty. I gave up on the feature in the end. Too many times kicking the underneath of my boot in the supermarket car park with no result. Quicker to just use the key! 😂

Nice one. I'll order the 384 next time. Hope you get the refund. For the price they might just let you keep it rather than faff around with a return.

I think its a great car, just this coding issue with aftermarket tow bars lets it down. I spoke to my local dealer this week and he said the reason VW group have locked down the coding from externals is that in the past someone could plug into your tow bar electrics say when you were in a car park and hack the car and then steal it. Not sure on any reports of this actually happening?? I have booked mine in with Skoda to take out my aftermarket tow bar which I bought from TowbarExpress.co.uk and fit a genuine one. Just a little over £2k for the pleasure which is crazy when the aftermarket one already cost me £800 😭. Not booked in until July and I have three trips with the caravan of over 300 miles, so hoping the PPP alarm doesn't go off too much. More annoying and you look like a pillock driving with your hazards on. I'll report how it is when I get the genuine one fitted as I have a couple of other 300+ mile trips soon after.

Interesting. Let me know how the A384H fits when it arrives 👍

Rear wiper blade part no.
Well the Bosch A335H fits into the arm, it is just a little short on each end. Not the end of the world. I wonder if someone will find an actual match which isn't a rip off from Skoda!

Rear wiper blade part no.
From what I can find the OEM part number is 3V9955425A for the estate model. I have measured my rear wiper and it is about 360 mm long. GREEBO_22 website PartsInMotion, product Bosch 3397016317 Rear Wiper Blade Part number: Bosch 3397016317, says it is only 330 mm long. I need a new rear blade anyway so with free postage and £10 for the blade, I have ordered one and will let you know if its the right one.

Rear wiper blade part no.
I have the 2024 estate superb and had a right faff finding the correct wiper blades. People just didn't seem to stock them which was absurd. I ordered some which said they fit and they didn't! I managed to find them on a website called VIPA Car Parts in the end. Looking now my product I ordered was called "SKODA SUPERB Estate (2015 - 2026) Wiper Blades Set - Premium Windscreen Wipers × 1" however this doesn't appear to be on their website anymore...no product code unfortunately. I have however clicked on the original order and selected "order again" and it puts these in the basket - see link below. Not sure if any of the that helps, but the ones I ordered in January as above, fitted perfectly. https://www.vipacarparts.com/products/skoda-superb-estate-jun-2015-onwards-wiper-blade-set-vcp-a-21294-set?variant=44777565782293

Proactive Passenger Protection alarm
Hi Scotjimland. Appreciate the detailed update. Glad to know it works and you can enjoy your holiday in a couple of weeks. Ill have to take the plunge and get a Skoda tow bar fitted then 😬

Which engine?
I have a 2L diesel 150 brake horse power estate Superb and it's fast enough. I'm sure the petrol versions will be quick, but the 2023 1.5 petrol Scala I have driven I find a bit pathetic, so might be better go the 2 litre.

Oh brilliant. From your last message I was thinking Skoda were going to take ages. If you can let you us how it goes with your caravan when you road test it that would be brilliant thank you 😊

Hi John. I feel the same. Great towing reviews for the Superb. I find a second hand 2024 model with tow bar prep. Thinking I'll then get a Skoda tow bar fitted. Skoda say there isn't any tow bars available for about 12 months so I buy an aftermarket one for around £700. Great tow bar and electricals work fine but the fact it can't be coded to the car so I get all these warnings is frustrating. I was tempted to sell the car and buy a different one or an older model but I am reluctant as the car when not towing is great with loads of space inside. It is a total joke but I can't see any way out of it. I'll have to contact Skoda and get a genuine one fitted for 2k. I was hoping to wait to see if Scotjimland confirms it actually fixes the issue but I might just have to take the plunge!

I am in the same boat. Aftermarket Tow bar fitted to a Mk4 with tow bar prep which isn't (and can't be coded). Seems pointless having a fancy car that becomes silly when towing a caravan. I'd be interested if your Skoda fitted tow bar solves all problems when towing your rig. Let us know and I might have to reluctantly get another tow fitted 😭
