My Superb was built in week 27 (28th June - 4th July), and I'm told that it should arrive at the dealer sometime during week 34 (16th - 22nd August).
So, by my calculations your car should arrive at the dealer during week 39 (20th - 26th September).
As far as my dealer is concerned, 7 weeks is the average time it takes from build to delivery. Sometimes, cars do come through in 5-6 weeks, but 7 weeks is the safe bet.

I couldn't consider the auto because of the detrimental effect it has on the Co2 emissions. The company car tax is bad enough already, without making it any worse.

I asked this same question of Skoda UK when I was about to order my Superb last month.
I was told that the split/folding rear seat will be coming to RHD UK models, but that currently no date has been set.
As I needed my car for 1st September, I decided to order anyway.
If it's really important to you, I suggest you give Skoda Customer Services a call, and ask them about it. You might just get the same answer I got, but then again, they might have some more details by now.

clv101, I thought that AMD had canned the OneClick thing. I certainly can't find any mention of it on their website.
As for Revo, then it's good to hear some further confirmation about the effectiveness of their mod. The guys on SEATCupra.net generally seem pretty happy with the Revo remap, but it's nice to get some confirmation from someone who has it on a Skoda.
What I'd really like is some feedback on the DMS mod. I've seen them mentioned quite regularly in Diesel Car magazine, but can't actually find anyone who has their remap.

I'm in the process of checking this out.
From what I understand, it was my company who put the group 15 thing in place, as there was a recent spate of young, inexperienced drivers writing off cars that were simply too powerful for them.
From speaking with the insurance company, they have assured me that their cover extends to any vehicle on the fleet regardless of insurance group.
I am still trying to get an answer on whether they would cover the car if it was modified.
I guess that my main concern centers around the warranty issues with modding, as I don't want the dealer to turn around and deny a warranty claim on the basis of it being remapped. If I can hide the mod, then this helps to lower the possibility of this happening.
If it all begins to look a bit dodgy, then I'll just give it a miss, and stick with the standard maps.

Hi Guys,
I'm after an opinion on which remap to get for my Superb when it arrives.
The two main contenders are Revo (with SPS1) and DMS. I'm limited to these two, as they are the only ones (that I am aware of) that allow the mod to be switched off and on by the end user. This is important to me, as it's going to be a company car and any kind of tuning is pretty much frowned upon.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these mods on the Superb?
I'd like to hear some opinions.

I'm still waiting for my Superb to arrive, should get it on the 1st September.
You mention ordering the Elegance without wood trim. I wanted to do this, but Skoda UK (and all the dealers I spoke to) told me that I couldn't do this. Is this possible in Greece?
As I've gone for the TDi 130, I'm planning on getting either the Revo or DMS remap. The main reason I've chosen these two is because they both have an option to switch the mod off and on, which is important as mine is going to be a company car.
Getting back to the question in the thread, I think I would stick with the vRS if I had the choice. I would have gotten a vRS Estate if the insurance group had been lower, but my company now restricts us to cars in group 15 or below :(

This is really strange, as my car was definitely failed because the airbag light was on. Although it didn't cost me much to have fixed, I was still forced to get it done.
Ho hum. I guess you live and learn.

I guess it depends on how good your sewing is, as a big hole in the side of the seat might be pretty easy to spot.

You will definitely fail the MOT if the airbag system is not in full working order.
The main problem is that the rest of the airbag system may fail to operate correctly now that one airbag has already been triggered. In the eyes of the MOT inspector, this is just as dangerous as, say running on four bald tyres.
I had an Impreza STi V where the previous owner had removed the bulb from the airbag warning light. When I replaced the bulb, I discovered the problem, and had to fix it in order to pass the MOT. In my case, it was only a sensor in the steering wheel that had gone wonky, so it wasn't hugely expensive.

I reckon you could probably swap the ECUs without too much hassle, but it is definitely possible for the dealer to tell that the ECU did not originate on the Skoda.
As far as I'm aware, all VAG ECUs have the build options for the car encoded into the flash. In the early days of tuning the TDi PD engines, the tuners were simply replacing the roms on the ECU. Consequently, the new roms didn't have this information encoded into them, and the dealer was easily able to spot a 'chipped' ECU simply by trying to read the memory area that was supposed to contain the build information.
If you swap the ECUs, then you will have build codes for a SEAT, which could well be spotted by the dealer.

Hi There,
I had this problem on my TT, and it's down to the fact that VAG cars have the permanent +12v line and the switched +12v line swapped on their ISO connectors (contrary to the industry standard).
I think Monkey Boy was referring to this problem in his post, but not quite so directly.
In the ISO standard for car audio, the switched +12V line is a yellow wire, and the permanent +12V is red. On my TT, these two were reversed, which meant that the stereo was always fully powered with the ignition was off.
I don't know if you noticed with the standard head unit, but if you turn the ignition on, and then off, the radio will still work until you actually remove the key. It appears that the car has some electronics which can detect if the stereo is still powered, and having the power leads reversed confuses it. For some reason, the car still seems to believe that the key is in the ignition, as this is the only state in which the stereo can normally be drawing power on it's switched +12V line.
The bottom line is this, check that the switched +12V from the car loom is actually going to the switched +12V line on the stereo, and the same for the permanent +12V. If they aren't, simply switch the wires around in the ISO connector on the stereo.
Alternatively, pop down to Halfords, and ask them to order your a late model VW/Audi ISO adapter harness (which does the swapping for you).

It kinda makes the Superb look good value at 18.5K for the 1.9 TDi 130 Elegance.
I was thinking about waiting for the new Octavia Estate, but at those prices, they can forget it.
I've ordered a Superb Elegance with full leather and metallic paint, and it's only costing just under 19K (got a good discount through my company).

Been lurking for a while, but have now taken the plunge so figured it would
be okay to say hi.
Just ordered a Superb Elegance 1.9 TDI 130. Gone for diamond silver,
full black leather and 'solid' style alloys as options.
Would have loved to have the 2.5V6 TDI, but the extra company car tax
on the Elegance Tiptronic just didn't make sense financially.
Apparently, Skoda UK have a car to my spec. arriving in the UK soon, so I
should only be looking at about a 3 week wait

Got to agree with you about the Superb Estate. I've just come from a Passat Estate, and would have really liked to stick with that body shape for the Superb. I think VAG are just too nervous about the impact it might have on other brands in the group.
As for the split folding seats, if my translation from the german is correct, then the option we want is "Umklappbare Rucksitzlehne". This costs 200 Euros. Please, please, please bring this to UK models.....is anyone out there in Skoda UK listening?
As for the Superb being a great car, then I'm in total agreement. I went back to my dealer yesterday, and saw a new Elegance in Nightfire Blue with the Ivory leather. Kinda made me think if I was right to go for silver, as the nightfire is very nice.
