Cause the stereo buttons didnt work.. would rather have them working than the paddles. Can anyone confirm i need switches: 5E0 919 719 G Dont fancy paying £150+ for sonething that wont work 😂

Can anyone help me with what i need. Ive bought an Octavia VRS 2013 steering wheel which has green buttons and paddles. My steering wheel has green buttons. Ive added pictures of all the part numbers on each wheel. When ive tried it only the scroll buttons work, but they only do volume. (Scroll goes up and press goes down) didnt bother actually driving to see if paddles worked. Thanks

I have a 2014 (64) 2.0 tdi DSG. what steering wheel and buttons do i need to find? Ideally dont want a VRS one as its not a vrs lol ta -
Just had my CR140 done yesterday at CC Tuning in Burton (Just outside Derby). Makes MPG better and upto 168bhp on a safe map. Rolling road too
-
Yeah carry all sensors and a set of coil packs. Just cause it was the end of the day i couldnt be bothered lol yeah thatd be good
-
yeah always does. Was a nice quiet day though so not much to play with. was just a coilpack on cyl2, mustve been breaking down under hard load. fixed and tucked back into the garage now.
-
Seni successful day at Donington. Many laps were had chasing faster stuff, then i let my dad loose when i was tired. Something fuel related, pump or injectors has gone as when under load just judders. Only code is cyl2 missfire. Something else to look at over winter.
-
Also swapped tyres round and sold a load of wheels/tyres i didnt really need. Just two sets of OZs now, Ultra and Super Leggeria 😆
-
Made a new centre console, also holds the dash in place as ive removed all the supports. Not perfect but not too bad.
-
Just need to cable tie wiring neat, bit its all there now. Heater plumbed in inside and through bulkhead. Just need to split a hose to allow it to flow through heater.
-
Few issues with wiring. Apparently the fuel pump needs an earth. Luckily the loom from fuel pump to rear of the car isnt taped up yet so easy enough to sort. Dash are all wired up and engine running. Just need to tidy wiring for gauges and WMI. Then plumb in T5 heater. Tried to remove rear beam but couldn’t undo carrier bolts, so sacked that off untill after track day in November.
-
Started to put the wiring loom back in today. Fuse/relay panel back in, pedals and bulkhead wires connected. Steering rack back in.

Bout time 😆

ordered early last week and delivery took about 6 days

Its from the newer Polo Matt. This beam was actually from a drum braked car, but still has the carrier on it. From a 2012ish Polo.

Sasha where did you get this one? I presume it was to replace the cheap one you had? Looking at fitting one to my 63 plate , other than cutting a bigger hole looks straight forward. Famous last words

15 & 20mm spacers fitted. Makes a massive difference and sits perfect. Gave it a clean too and a half arsed wipe down under the bonnet.
-
Fishing line, pick off foam and then used Sticky stuff remover. 5 min job. Followed by a quick hand polish with G3 then G10. Perfect
-
Had a spare few hours today.. Order arrived of centre caps and ‘Skoda’ ‘Octavia’ badges. Decided agains fitting the letters as i quite like it clean. Will probably get rid of the VRS badge too when i donthe Skoda badge.
-
Removed the large spigot from the rear hubs. This it too large to allow 15mm spacers to fit flush, not that ill need spacers with the wider beam but before i fit might as well.
-
Designed some camber plates to fit behind the hub on the rear beam. Made two sets, one at 1.4* to make 2* and one at 2.4* to make 3*. Unsure what i want so will stick the 1.4* in and gonfrom there see how it feels
