Hi all,
Long time since i have been on here been busy with one thing or another you know how it is...
At last i have had my VRS on a rolling road and suspions have been confirmed there is a deffinate problem somewhere with the VRS. This all started some time ago before christmas '05 i thought i had a lost of power but was also due for a service took the car for a service where it came back with a clean bill of health no fault codes etc... the service was done at jabba.
Still in mind there was a problem but how could i prove it, maybe i was imiagining it maybe id just got use to the power so didnt feel powerfull any more...anyone else who drove it would have thought it was fine but as its my car i knew diffrent. Finally getting this confirmed on sunday 188bhp! with a jabba remap, CAI, and blueflame sports cat and exhaust 188bhp i dont think so... the operator on the day said the car just gave up boosting at 15psi then dropping back to ten then dissappered completly....
Im thikning boost leak, N75, or DV but where to start with my other project taking prority i dont want to spend alot of money replacing this replacing that to find they dont make a diffrence at the moment the problem is more an innconvience then a real problem.
i wish what ever was on the fritz woudl just give up completely and then i could zero in on the problem.
However my other therory is could the remap dissapear?? get confussed?? loose its setting?? become corrupt?? the car has been chnaged sevral times since the map was done eg Tip added, fmic added (then removed again) diffrent air filter added, one tank of optimax (95 ron remap) etc remap never been touched since jabba dont seem very willing to do tweeks they want to chrage you for a full remap again if you chnage you set up.
Thanks

I have this problem on the Octy. Seems to come from the mechanism/ bar assembly rattling when it's closed. I have found that it doesn't rattle when it is pushed in tight or held out a bit' date=' where the metal bar is tight against the plastic and has no room to rattle.
I have found that a small strip (3 or 4 cm) of rubber draught excluder stuck at either side of the glove box (just beside where the bar goes into the dashboard/ fixed plastic holes) will stop the rattle when the glove box door is closed against it. This reduces the movement, and gives a tighter close.

Could you maybe show a few pics of this solution i have this problem with the octy too... hot days its fine as eveyrthing is swollen its worst when its cold and everytihng is contracted and brittle

Hi all,
Please don't delete this as its not a for sale post and am aware of the rules of the forum.
I'm mearly asking what people would be prepaired to pay for a second hand ABD FMIC as i plan to soon put one on an auction site and want to get my reserve at the right price. Its only a few months old in immacualte condition. Also i wanted to put on a ABD TIP to the same auction site do you think i shoudl put the TIP on the same auction or would i get more for it on a seperate auction. What do you think is a fair price for one?
thanks

before you buy try driving and look at the radio and see if you can not crash... i like the look of gauges there but pratcally it just does not work you can not read them... this why i went for this
http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/shop/customer/product.php?productid=206&cat=0&page=1
this pod sits on your dash where you steering wheel is in the middle of your rev and speedo much easy to read... limited to just one guage

If Skoda are serious about becoming a big volume seller' date=' they're going to have to improve their build and quality control and lose their "VW reliability".....!

Standard shocks with Eibach springs, tightens up the handling, drops it 25mm, and makes a difference, then add the Neuspeed 28mm adjustable ARB.
problem is his shocks are shot... so needs a full solution..
