First drive in Rusty for 2024, with #charlie and my dad who’s over in New Zealand for Christmas along with my mum and sister. He said it was “A white knuckle ride”. Not sure if that’s the car or my driving. The car has been in a storage unit for 4 weeks and I disconnected the battery but left the charger connected. Rookie mistake, apparently. Turns out the battery had been leaking too. Always new things to fix. Flat battery adventures in Waitara Fortunately Automotive Service Centre had the right battery in stock and gave me a ride back to the car with it so I could fit it. Unfortunately it was about 27 degrees.

It was 27 degrees that day! We were absolutely cooking inside the car with windows up and no aircon.

This is the manual car/dog version of “I can’t get up because the cat is comfortable on my lap”

New driving buddy WoF passed for another six months. A couple of minor things to check out before they become an issue but generally all good.

Chromies! Coupe GT that's had had a fair bit done to it - trims removed and redone, side skirts, maybe aftermarket bumpers.

Kicked out of the garage so my wife can use it as a conference room for a work training day.

The fleet! Rusty needed a wash so I thought why not do the work car too.

Road trip to Wellington and back, Rusty performed well. I took the Azev wheels down for a guy who said he wanted to buy them then he ghosted me so I brought them back again! Stayed in a cottage in the middle of Nga Manu bird sanctuary which was awesome! Also brought back a Ford Courier gearbox which has done 250,000km less than the one in my ute Extra lowering demonstrated here:
