  1. Mate, they should be the same, but wind the drivers window down, disconnect the battery, pop the airbag out - you will need to have the key in the ignition to turn the wheel so it doesn't lock, and allow you to get to the 2 openings to unclip the airbag retaining springs- undo the bolt and have a look. What have you lost, a little time if it's wrong or nothing if they are the same and you can swap it! When you put everything back together, reconnect the battery, then reach through the open window and turn the key to ACC. It just keeps you out the car if the airbag does, for some bizarre reason, go off. I've changed loads of steering wheels and never had an airbag go off once, when I've put it all back together but I still do the above - everytime.
  2. Just go slowly, I've done it because of unfixable damage to the outer skin, so I swapped the door. If I remember correctly once you have unplugged everything you have to carefully take it out of the hole where the bellow (concertina) outer cover between door and body is. Take it slow as you can easily get snagged trying to get the plugs around the rigid parts inside the door. It seemed a lot easier getting the loom into the new door to be honest.
  3. It has an auto transmission so I haven't thought about whether that could effect it. Would it?
  4. Hi all The brake fluid warning came on, checked the brake calipers and floor for any fluid but couldn't see anything. Topped it up then my wife came home and said the light has come on again, this is about a week later. Still can't see where it has gone, any ideas? I read somewhere that it can leak into the servo housing behind the resevoir any one had that happen before?
  5. When I needed a passenger "black pack" headlight, ebay had one (and only 1) used one for £130 and he wouldn't go any lower, so I got a brand new one from autodoc. The discount changes day to day but I think I got 30% off. £130 all in and just be patient for a couple of weeks. FWIW I couldn't find a part number as it was on a sticker, and not embossed in the plastic, and the sticker was badly worn to the point of it just being a white space! That ebay listing above is a steal! PS The front end of a Fabia is exactly the same, changes from the back doors.
  6. Could be as simple as a hole in the air con radiator!
