  1. I had a similar thing happen, with the indicator coming on after about 8000 miles when I was expecting about 16-17K miles as I had with the previous service interval. I took the car to the dealer, and they reset the service indicator, and car continued fine for another ~8K to bring it to the expected mileage. The dealers took about 30 seconds to nip outside and reset the indicator.
  2. I had the same problem with the rear washer when I first got my Octavia. It turned out the non-return valve was the wrong way round- so the fluid didn't leave the resevoir. Dealers did the job as part of a service.
  3. A similar topic was covered recently in the saabscene forums, particularly in regard to the issues of ratings and insurance with tyres. The link is below, it may be something people want to flick through. http://www.saabscene.com/saabforum/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/31587875/an/0/page/2#31587875
  4. This type of discussion came up alot when I used to browse the Saabscene forums, upgrading the standard 225bhp Saab 9000 Aero engine to 300bhp. One of the common complaints was that the clutch and gearbox started to give out more frequently with all the extra power. Is that something you guys need to be considering?
  5. On my recently acquired Octavia at some stage the Skoda CD autochanger has been removed. I have bought a new Sony CD changer an conversion box to replace the original unit. The original wiring is still in place. I was hoping to put the new unit in with the minimum of fuss in terms of routing of cables etc and removing the HU which is the Symphony variety. I was hoping that someone out there may know which colour wires in the original loom go to which of the connectors on the back of the HU - from what I can gather from a document I downloaded yesterday this is pins 13 - 20 of the 20 pin multiconnector. Many thanks in advance, Gordon P.S. I have to say that so far this site is a refreshing change from all the BHP/torque hunting that occupies the Saabscene site I used to frequent.
