Getting the new 170CR 4x4 Elegance tomorrow. The old 2.5TDi barge is destined for the auctions, I believe. Someone will get a cracking well cared for motor for peanuts, shame to see it go really.

How Long - From order to delivery?

Yes, fair comment, purchase to delivery. Spec was exactly what I wanted, even has a spare wheel just as I wanted. -
Does the 2.8 litre petrol engine have a turbo?

Apparently, mine landed in the UK today, so three weeks from order to delivery looks like it is going to be about right. -
What a shame mine recently left the factory then!

Hoping to get mine (4x4 170 CR Elegance) about 3 weeks from order to delivery, we'll see when it arrives. -
I should have my new 4x4 170 CR Elegance in a couple of weeks to replace my 2.5TDi Elegance, feedback will be duly given.

Moving to the Superb II section soon.

2.5TDi Elegance, manual, nightfire blue. -
I've decided to go for a new 4x4 170 CR Elegance Mk2. Should take delivery in about three weeks time, so I'm told. Someone is going to get a really cracking 2.5 TDi Elegance for peanuts once I've swapped it in.

Thanks for the feedback, I suspect the mpg will be similar to my 2.5. I do drive really gently these days, I get about 42 to 45 on my daily commute (~24 miles each way) and up to 52mpg when on a motorway run. Very good figures considering the size of the car and more than the "official" mpg figures.

Sounds a bit like green tec is kind of halfway between standard and greenline versions then?

Skoda advert featuring the Superb Combi
Fred Bloggs replied to Superbalicious's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Some clarification to what I said above, I understand all saloon/hatch Superbs qualify but just petrol Superb estates are VAT free. -
Thanks for the comment. I fancy a change and the 4x4 will certainly give me some reassurance if we get a repeat of the last two January and December snows. I haven't decided yet but I might get some steel wheels with winter tyres yet. Regarding petrol v diesel, I haven't owned a petrol car since a 1988 jelly mould style Audi 80. I prefer diesel power. My annual mileage is unpredictable but varies between about 15 and 25k miles a year depending on where I am working (I'm freelance). Dealership called me today and I should have a nice new 170 CR Elegance 4x4 on the drive in about three weeks time  .

I was told today, all diesel and petrol Superbs are in the offer, but no Estate versions. -
Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. The maxidot consmuption on my 2.5 is spot on actually checked by brimming the tank. I'm hoping the 170 CR 4x4 will be about the same, consumption wise, as the 2.5. Thanks for the tip about the mats, I'll have a browse around to see what I can find on the web, trouble is, you can't see the quality before you buy that way. I agree, the hatch rear end is friggin' ugly!

What a laugh, my dealer tells me that the Superb estate is excluded from the VAT free deals (and the Yeti is also). -
Presently I am a mk1 Superb driver, owner of a 55 plate 2.5 TDi Elegance to be exact for the last 87k miles, I have always been very happy with it. I have been to the local Skoda agency this weekend and if the dealer can find me a 170 bhp 4x4 Elegance on a reasonable-ish delivery date, I will be 99% certain to swap the old one for the new motor. A few observations from me and a couple of questions to be going on with...... I think it looks like there has been a bit of cheese paring going on with the specification of the new Elegance compared with the old mk1 version that I have. The leather on the seats does not feel anything like the same high quality of the ones in my old car, the new car has no spare wheel, no heated rear seats, no carpet mats and apparently, I understand that the Columbus sat nav doesn't accept full UK post codes? This is 2011 for goodness sake! On the plus side, the new car is stunningly good value for money and the 4x4 feature is a real bonus to have. I'm interested to hear from owners who have moved from a mk1 to a mk2 particularly if you have a 4x4, for example, how is the fuel consumption comparing between the mk1 and the mk2 versions? Thanks, I just need to see what the dealership says tomorrow afternoon once he's had a look to see what he can do for me. (Apologies about the typoes in the thread title too!)

Speak to your sparky, tell him it is a similar wiring fault to B5 Passats, he will have seen the exact same problem on those lot of times as it is the most common fault on these cars. But - you MUST sort out the water ingress issues before it wrecks the electronic module that is under the passenger seat carpet.
-
My 2.5TDi does that as it has Xenon headlights. As it is, I think it is an MOT failure, so you need it fixed before the MOT is due. There was thread recently about the adjusters seizing up.

My washer nozzles always freeze too (2.5 TDi Elegance), I just carry some water with me now inside the car in case I need it. Last winter, that froze too though.

Surely an Elegance 2.5TDi manual can't be that uncommon? I've got one.
