Are ASZ, ARL and BLT injectors identical?
Guys, I got a set of these injectors for 180euros. The owner was selling them as “the injectors for tdi 96kw” and claimed they had been taken out of a Passat b5.5 96kw. Now, according to the numbers, they are the the same as ARL injectors, and better than BLT injectors, right? Are these injectors 520 or 550? (Sepulchrave suggested that some ASZ engines got 520 injectors… while all ARL injectors are 550) If I swap my BLT injectors with these, can I drive the car and test them for any issues before flashing the tune, without causing any damage to the injectors or the engine? Some people are reporting rough idle before the remap…. I would be nice to be able to install them and check them out, see whether they work within tolerances… As I have said, they are asking a lot of money to put a custom tune on the car (BLT injectors and ARL turbo) but with these injectors and ARL turbo, I can flesh a free ARL Stage 1 tune and call it a day, right?

Are ASZ, ARL and BLT injectors identical?
Yes, but why do all the people say that the stock Fabia smic willl heatsoak easily and about 160hp is all it can take…. My Seat Sport IC is leaking and it’s beyond repair. I have just fitted an ARL turbo on my car, but I am stuck with a factory SMIC for now. Can I put an 180hp tune on the car and call it a day for now? It will be heatsoaking, but is it likely to cause any damage to the engine, or affect it negatively in any way?

Mk1 fabia vrs struggles to start when warm
I had this problem on an Ibiza Cupra Tdi. It was either a camshaft sensor or the injector seals…. We replaced both and the problem was solved… It struggled to start once at operating temp and turned off…. It would start really hard and the engine would throw itself about the engine bay violently, I was thinking it was gonna destroy all the engine mounts…. Horrible!

Are ASZ, ARL and BLT injectors identical?
Okk, thanks a lot for the responses, being witty and good sense of humor. Given the fact that I have bought a ****ty leaky used Seat Sport Intercooler, I can slap on the ARL turbo, and do a remap to 180hp on the puny little stock intercooler… I would really need an occasional good pull for fun and an overtake really…. I was about to throw away the leaky Seat Sport IC, when I saw this video on you tube…. that goes on to show that even boost leaks don’t affect performance so much wtf?

Are ASZ, ARL and BLT injectors identical?
Guys, are there any differences? I found online that ASZ/ARL injectors have 038 130 073 AL part number, but BLT injectors 038 130 073 AN. I may ne trying an ARL map on my Vrs, so it wouldn’t ne wise if there are any differences….

BLT Vrs Egr delete
All right… I jave just washed my used Seat Sport Intercooler, and noticed that it leaks water down at the bottom when I fill it up. 😞 Can it ne rewelded there and ready to go 😁? It needs to hold 180-190hp

BLT Vrs Egr delete
One more thing… I have bought an ARL turbo and Ibiza Cupra Tdi intercooler and pipes. Can I put it on and use a proven Stage 1 Arl tune for 180-190hp, because all other things being the same, once I install the turbo and IC, it will be the same mechanically as an ARL engine…It would be less expensive than having a custom tune?

BLT Vrs Egr delete
Hello guys, I am about to do an Egr delete on my Fabia. My EML light comes on and off intermittently. I have bought an Egr delete kit, the small one since I want to retain the ASV. As I have read on the forums, some older threads though, some people are suggesting it’s very hard/impossible to map out the EML on a BLT engine, unlike on ASZ, some people even stating that the turning off of EML means turning it off for any future Engine related error, in essence mapping it out completely. And only an idiot would do that! So… Can the Egr be mapped out on a BLT engine without the EGR related EML. I intend to keep the ASV? As some reading led me to believe, the problems with EML staying on occur if you want to remove both Asv and Egr. Egr is not electronic at all, it’s the Asv. Am I right? What’s your take on this? cheerz

Seat Cupra Fmic setup on Fabia Vrs
Guys, just to be sure… Does it matter which Ibiza crashbar to order? Are they all the same?

Seat Cupra Fmic setup on Fabia Vrs
Great, according to this, tge brackets will fit plug and play. Thanks a lot. I’m gonna take the Ibiza crash-bar too, not expensive and no cutting…

Seat Cupra Fmic setup on Fabia Vrs
The seller just told me he would try to find the brackets too…. So with the brackets included, should it be a plug and play job, apart from trimming the plastics? Will these brackets bolt on straight and hold the intercooler in place? I guess I should at least drill the holes for the screws?

Seat Cupra Fmic setup on Fabia Vrs
I hope I can buy them from the dealer if they aren’t included… 1 × SeatSport Left Mounting Bracket - 6LL145808C 1 × SeatSport Right Mounting Bracket - 6LL145808D And I am good to go… The washers would have to go out

Seat Cupra Fmic setup on Fabia Vrs
Thank you! What about the mounting bracket for the intercioler to keep it in place? The seller told me I would need that. Is it hard to be hand-made? How can it be mounted on a Fabia?

Seat Cupra Fmic setup on Fabia Vrs
Hello guys, just found a complete Fmic setup from an Ibiza Cupra for 360 euros. Can I mount that on my Fabia BLT without any hiccups? Cheers.

Fabia Mk1 vRS BLT Egr problem
And after reading many threads on the tooic I am still a little bit confused, so I would like to clarify. Some people suggesting mappimg the EGR out on a BLT could be done only by mapping out the whole EML, which is ridiculous and unacceptable for obvious reasons! The car wouldn’t throw an EML ever again for anything, which is just unacceptable…. So, can I map out the EGR, leave ASV operational and have no Egr-related EML come on the dash on a BLT engine, but have EML operational for every other posible fault?

Fabia Mk1 vRS BLT Egr problem
Btw guys, do you have the part number for the BLT engine Egr valve? From what I have been reading on the forum about mapping it out on a BLT… I got the feeling it might not be a good idea… (even though I didn’t understand much! ) And if I choose to remove it, the best way is to keep the Asv and map out the Egr, am I right? It’s not a good idea to map it out and leave it physically there, just like it was? Some people saying you can’t clear the engine management light at all by mapping out the egr? That is kind of confusing? Can you map it out and have no MIL on the dash?

Fabia Mk1 vRS BLT Egr problem
Great. So than it’s Ok performance wise. It wants to spin the wheels in third gear, but come, say 3100rpm, the acceleration is slower and kind of naaa… What about the Egr error? What can be causing it, and can I simply map it out on this ECU (Blt 2006) If yes, is there anything else I can try before I do that? Could something other than the Egr be causing an Egr related code? Egr is clean, vacuum box replaced (albeit with the used one) and still damn “engine management light”.

Fabia Mk1 vRS BLT Egr problem
Prior to reading this, I cleared the error and disconnected the hose going to the Egr. I didn’t block it though… The car seems to drive a tad better… I mean the car is fast, it pulls from 1800rpm like crazy, it just loses a bit of breath past 3000rpm… Maybe I am imagining things, maybe it is normal? I’m gonna try plugging it with a screw and see if it makes things even better…

Fabia Mk1 vRS BLT Egr problem
Thank you for the reply. If I decide to delete it, can it be mapped out? I read that it can't be mapped out on a BLT Ecu? Is that right? Could the faulty Egr cause performance issues too?

Fabia Mk1 vRS BLT Egr problem
Hello guys, I have a BLT Fabia. I have an engine management light on and an Egr-related error saying something about the Egr exceeding upper limit or threshold, something like that. At first I thought the vacuum box was faulty so I replaced it and cleaned the Egr. The car ran without the light for some 30km, and then the light came back. What do you recommend next? Is it definitely Egr related, or could there be something else? There are no other codes, the car feels underpowered, noticeable in third gear or higher the most… thank you dor the advice.

Ye, I know, the guy is a jerk. I’ll probably buy a new one. The new one is about 200euros, but at least I will ne sure it will not fail. Ty for the info.
