  1. Could be a few things I guess. Is the self adjuster working OK? Is the wheel cylinder seized? Does it need bleeding? I think I'd try the self adjuster first
  2. Thanks for all that but unfortunately I tried that one and it doesn't work. Do you know any others?
  3. I want to alter my average MPG read out 'cause it's 14% to high. Also my MPH 'cause that is 2 MPH to low
  4. Hi, Anyone know of a VAG.COM login code for my 1999 Octavia TDI 110bhp? 1U2919034G VDO V22
  5. The thing is you can't just put shorter springs in, unless you use helper springs as well, so I shortened the shock travel, cause I use Kermit on the track rather than rallying
  6. Dunno but since that photo I've put stronger shorter springs on (300lbs) and shortened the travel to lower them abit.
  7. :finger:John Shelley got me mine: Here's the link for HP: HP SPORTING
  8. I'm having Kermit patched up and welded at the moment, it doesn't cost that much. Here's what's being done: Whole new front panel fitted (supplied by me) Inner wing straightened and chassis arm Patching inner wings and around suspension turrets. Strengthening between bulkhead and inner wings New wings fitted (supplied by me) Whole lot sprayed including bonnet. £350
  9. Yep, out the back of the plate. It's probably rusted in a bit though
  10. Sounds like some oil may have got through the crank seal then. I should drain off any excess oil, if it hasn't already dripped out some where. Then take that cover off, clean everywhere, put it all back and recheck in a couple of hundred miles time.I should think it'll be OK
  11. No you won't empty the sump or the gearbox. You'll be able to see if there is any oil on the inside which there should not be.If there is then you have a seal gone.Have you ever over filled the engine with oil?
  12. There maybe lots of other things wrong but until you take the head off you will never know. You may be pleasantly surprised and find that all that's needed is a head skim, new gasket, oil and oil filter. They're very easy to work on ,so give it a go, you have nothing to lose and lots to gain
  13. Not sure where that oil is coming from but why not take that cover off and have a look ? All thats behind it is the flywheel and clutch.I've taken it off Kermit to reduce weight.
  14. I suppose thats not too bad if they remove it as well but I'd rather have a go myself. I've never had a play with a turbo before so should be quite interesting.
  15. This looks like it's going to go real cheap if anyones interested. Skoda Felicia MPI Pipercross Panel Filter on eBay, also, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 18-Mar-09 09:34:36 GMT)
  16. Some times at happens around 3000 rpm but more often at just over 4000 rpm. Some times it will rev to 5000rpm no problem.Seems to happen more when it's hot.
  17. Thanks guys. I'll check thepipes and N75 but I suspect the vanes sticking. Isn't there a chemical that you can fill the turbo with to clean it out? I suspect mine to have rust in it though as the car has stood for a while. I hear malt vinegar will remove rust so couldn't I fill it with that for a day or two? Yes it does go into limp mode.
  18. I've got this fault cominig up: 17958 - change pressure : control deviation P1550 - 35 - 10 - - - intermitant on my 1999 Octavia 1.9 SLX TDI. Thanks in advance.
  19. What did you do about the sensor 'cause the plastic housing one has 4 wires and the aluminium one has 1 wire to it?
  20. It's 'cause the pushrods are made of two different materials i.e. four are aluminium and four are steel. The two different materials expand at to different amounts.
  21. If it's the same as the 1.3 ECU I think what you have to do is drive it like you stole it and it then adjusts it's self to your driving style.
