Glad you feel that you had decent service from Pulmans. My feelings are the exact opposite. If you read my post further up you'll see my dealings with them. Amazingly my car has passed a further 3 MOTs without mention of leaking shocks. When needed I now use a very good indie at Blyth.

I have read your post, but obviously I can't comment on your experience.

I am posting about my latest dealings with Pulmans, I do however understand you going to a good indie in Blyth now that your car is out of warranty.

  2. Three visits to Pulmans (was Silbury) in the last fortnight.

1st for a 2 year service, this found a fault on the central locking system requiring locks to be replaced,

2nd for lock replacement (under warranty), a few days later a headlight bulb blew. After struggling to get my hand in to change the bulb I phoned Pulmans for any advice/hints, to be told that if I came in the would fit a new bulb free of charge (me providing bulb).

    3rd Fitment of bulb.

Excellent helpful service with free coffee and biscuits whilst you wait.

  3. This Karoq is up for sale as a cat s write off (has different reg no now).

Did anyone on here own this car, and if so, can we speak re the extent of the damage?

    Thanks Dave

  4. I had a warning on my phone on the My Skoda app, plus an email, when my dash cam fell off the windscreen last week due to the hot weather.

This was handy as I couldn't see/hear my car where it was parked.

Just as a bit of a comparison, I have a 1.0 Karoq SE manual, and keep a check on fuel using fuelly. Over the last 6608 mile I have these figures.

    Basic Stats

    47.6(0.0)

    Avg UK MPG

    47.1(-4.9)

    Last UK MPG

    52.0(15/06/2022)

You've likely got Auto Hold enabled. This automatically holds the brakes on when you stop.

I am aware that I have Auto Hold enabled,  but I wasn't aware that the brake lights stay illuminated!

    You learn something everyday 🙂

  7. I've just noticed last night that my brake lights stay illuminated when stationary in stop/start mode (without my foot being on the brake pedal).

Is this normal, and if so, why have I only just noticed it!!!?

I find it annoying to be sat behind a car when stationary with its brake lights illuminated,  and now my car is doing the same thing 🤔

Not the aircon, it's the blower that's not working, there is heat from the aircon but  nothing to blow it around.  A new development today was that the electrics went bonkers when my wife was out dropping off our grandson, she 'phoned me up in a panic saying that the emergency flashers were on and all sorts of warning lights.  Turned the car off, locked it, opened it and restarted it and all is OK... AND... there is a very faint just discernible whisper of air from the blower but not enough to demist, she's on her way back now so hope there's no more 'phone calls.  She did say that when she dropped off the grandson and closed and locked the car and coming back to the car it sounded as though the fan was indeed faintly running when listening at the bonnet, that's before the car was opened so the car hadn't shut down the electrics after leaving it for an hour.

Car is booked into the dealer on Thursday for investigation and to look at the non-closing boot issue and the reversing camera that is sometimes unavailable and sometimes points direct at the number plate rather than the rear view!

It's useful to try to get a photo/video of the warning lights flashing if something like this happens.  It's easier than trying to explain things to the garage.

Hope you get the issues sorted soon.

Have had my Enyaq 60 now for 3 weeks.  Installed the My Skoda app on my mobile and connected no problem.  This weekend, however, my car has disappeared from the app and when I try to re-register it I keep getting message saying service not available.  Anyone else have same problem? Thanks

I had the same problem over the weekend,  but it seems to be working okay this morning.  It may have been down for an update,  or just ' technical reasons 🤔 '.

  10. Have you considered the Karoq.

We have had several Yetis, then went to Octavia and Fabia but found them a bit low. We did test drives of both Kamiq and Karoq and decided to go for the Karoq. It's only the 110bhp SE but it seems fine for what we need.

@DaveLeesLots of us drive about in the countryside so need good Headlights, but dipped beam is only needed when the lights are not on full beam because others are driving / riding towards you or are in front of you.

Have you driven your car yet with whatever upgrade was done to see what the improvement is and the alignment is good so it is not a case of you having better visibility while other road users suffer worse.

ie, Other flashing you when dipped because your dipped beam is annoying.

Thanks for the advice as to when to use full and dipped beam, however having been driving for 40+ years, and being a class 1 advanced driver I was aware of it ;-).

And no, I haven't driven since the bulbs were fitted,  but I will bear in mind your comments re the alignment.

  12. After having had 3 Yetis and an Octavia, and my wife having a  Citigo then Fabia, my wife decided that she missed the height in a Yeti.

So, last Saturday we went to Pulman, Cramlington (was Sidbury) where Sean had a Kamiq and Karoq ready for us to take for test drives.

Pulman had a Karoq that arrived the previous day which was the spec that we wanted.  Fortunately the second hand market is strong at the moment,  so we got a good deal against the Karoq. We picked the new Karoq up on Thursday and love it. The deal included mats, front and rear dash cams being hardwired, and new headlight bulbs fitted.

    Overall it was excellent service:-)
