Creaky accelerator pedal
Don’t worry if i do die i’ll come haunt you in the form of a creaky pedal so you know its me Appreciate the reply/help. I do have some contact cleaner spray, might try a little of that first to help clear. I may have some silicone spray left which should be non conductive iirc 🤔 was hoping this was a more common thing with an internet approved solution. Pedal looks like this btw

Creaky accelerator pedal
Thanks for the reply I use cruise control a lot when on motorways, but I've done a fair old amount of trips recently on A/B roads where there a lot more roundabouts or being stuck behind someone etc. so switching it on/off all the time isn't worth it. My first thought was to give it a good spray with something but I wasn't too sure about any electrics inside. I'm assuming they are drive by wire so will be some sensors and stuff in. I already have some GT85 and you're right on the smell think it'll be safe to use?

Creaky accelerator pedal
I thought it would be clear, but what I mean is when travelling on a 60 MPH road for example where the speed is close to constant but there may be mm adjustments to maintain that speed due to gradients, bumps, traffic, corners etc. It doesn't creak through every movement or range of the pedals travel. It may happen when passing that angle normally, but I haven't noticed it do so in regular driving just when holding a particular speed towards the end of longer journeys. Had the car for about 5-6 years now and its only been the last 6 months or so it's started doing it and it gets pretty annoying

Creaky accelerator pedal
Hiya all. I’ve noticed on the last few longer journeys i’ve done the accelerator pedal has an annoying creak when holding it at a specific position. I can feel it through my foot, so pretty sure it’s the pedal. I had something similar on my old Fiesta. That had an exposed spring that i sprayed with some grease and it was fine afterwards… after a quick glance though it looks like the fabia one is a sealed unit. Anyone else had the same? Any recommendations?

Leaky door seal
I had one of the og fabia VRS’s and i’m familiar with that one for sure. Remember getting covered in black weatherproofing sealant lying on the driveway lol I haven’t noticed it being wet under the door trim panels this time, i did check there by running some tissue underneath. Not to say it didn’t dry though before i noticed it and its only been a small amount so far. I was hoping Skoda would have learnt over the years about such a poor design but maybe not. I’ll make sure to check after the next downpour.

Leaky door seal
I’ve noticed the last few heavy rain storms that water ends up sitting on top of the door seal (on the chassis) of my drivers side rear 🙈 i’ve given it all a clean and a good splattering of gummi pflege but no luck sadly. I’m assuming it’s leaking in somewhere higher and running down but yet to discover where. It’s not bad enough yet to wet the carpets. It looks like a new door seal isn’t very expensive, but is it as simple as i hope to replace? Just pull off the old one and slowly push the new one in (occasionally swearing to give some encouragement of course)?

Push button starter does not always start the carl should I use a lubricant?
I had this issue a year or so ago, I had the start engine button replaced under extended warranty without charge and it’s been spot on since. Probably the contacts becoming worn or dirty. Contact cleaner may be worth a shot, I wouldn’t personally use GT85 or any other type of lubricant though as you want to remove residue not add more especially anything that may be conductive!

Replacing window switches
Hiya, Just curious if the panel containing the rear window switches just lifts up like on the rapid with a little force from the front like in this video? Could do with swapping a switch out as it's becoming increasingly intermittent. https://youtu.be/wBJcXQIVM0U Thanks
