1J0 is a vw golf mk4 part number so they must be common across a lot of cars. Should be easy to pick up a second hand one but with the price of that one on ebay it would not be worth the trouble!!

Cheers guys. I must look around the breakers yard for one in good condition the next time I'm there. I usually hang it on the flap while filling up but the string being broken annoys me!

Anyone know if the cap is the same on a petrol and diesel?

So the little plastic string that stops the cap from falling broke on my car. Anyone know if these can be replaced or do I need to get a complete cap? cheers

That's an Fr+. Comes with the cupra r body kit and 17' versions of the cupra r alloys. The alloys on that have been resprayed at some stage. Cracking car. Needs a rear anti roll bar. Makes them handle so much better! Way better built than the fabia but not as nice as an audi. Had one for 3 years myself. Sorry I ever sold it.

That programming guide is only for the remote locking which the keys you have linked do not have. If you buy one of those keys you will have to go to a locksmith and get the blank cut and the immobilizer chip programed so the car will start. A locksmith might be able to set you up with a second remote locking key for the same price as the dealer will charge you for a normal key

I don't think that is for a vrs.

Happened to me when I debadged mine. Even after wet sanding and machine polishing the outline could still be seen so I ended up putting on a new badge.

Thanks Baz. Do you know what extra wiring is involved? When I fitted them to my mondeo I just tapped into the windscreen washer pump wiring for power but they came on every time you sprayed the window. On that the washers bolted to the front crash member.
