The uprated ones just seem to spread a better throw of light at the sides which I find better for picking up beasties lurking in ditches at the side of the road and aren't the stooped blue colour wee fannies seem like on the 15 year old starter car. K:)

Morning all I have just changed my bog standard bulbs to Osram night breakers (high beam) and Phillips extreme (dipped) as now driving more on rural roads. I had the same set up on my old Fabia MK1 VRS and was impressed with it. The question is do the same bulbs look different in different cars with different head light lenses? In the Fabia the light given off was very white but in the Octavia it isn't. Not that i'm looking for white light that is, was just curious. K:)

Morning all I've just started having an issue with my Bluetooth connection in my car (2011 CR VRS). Whenever I get in the car the stereo starts playing as usual but then the car recognises the phone and then starts ringing itself! But when i check the IPhone screen all is fine. When its doing this I cannot stop the call by pressing the red off button on the dash screen nor will any other function work on the screen and I have to turn the ignition on and off a few times. I unplugged and replugged in the module under the seat and it worked fine for a few days but now its doing it all the time. Any ideas what could be causing this? or is it just time to replace the module? Well cost depending that is. Cheers Kit

I have just started using Google maps on iPhone and all seems very good, but for some reason when i'm plotting a route then press go I get the vocal command to say where to start/turn or whatever but as soon as I turn the ignition on the voice commands stop!!! I'm sure its something to do with the settings but I cant figure it out!!!

Thanks for that I have the hatch version.....just rang Halfords here in Dublin quoting those references and they want 359 Euro for the whole shebang...and here was me thinking it would a be cheapish do!!!

just though someone here would know...Halfords never the best when I ask questions.

Has anyone in Ireland had a recall letter yet? My motor was in for a service about three months ago and now drives like a sick dog... the dealer has said that nothing has been done to it by way of flash update!! K

The plate option is an issue as I have a huge amount of scar tissue on the roof of my mouth from where I had it removed to get the other teeth out. K:)

I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 15 and for some reason the surgeon just decided there and then to remove the roof of my mouth and take out my second teeth that hadn't come down yet!!! Much to the dismay and anger of my normal dentist!! So I was left with tiny baby teeth for years until I had them capped, but they were never the strongest and now are a wee bit loose. K:)

I've had all the scans and 3D modelling done already and the bone tested so no issues there, the dentist who will do it comes highly recommended from patients and the dental board of Ireland so again no issues there. K:)

I might be able to make this now...shame there's not many more names down for it :( back in the day we'd 20+ going to these events.

Looking for a wee bit of advise about my teeth....I have two baby teeth still... I know at my age!! One at one side of my gob and one the other side both cuspid/canine. They are now both becoming much more loose and sensitive and are on the verge of dropping out anytime now :( but they have been on the verge for 20 years! I have two options, well three but the first one, a plate has instantly been discounted, the second is to have them replaced with implants which will take up to about 9 months before they are all done and finished or the third option is to have a three tooth bridge, the baby ones and the slightly twisted and not the best looking teeth either side. The implants will only replace the baby teeth and not the not so good looking teeth either side and the three tooth bridge will. The dentist has said that the new Emax bridge will last a good 15 years or so if I don't get smacked in the mush with a hammer that is! The question is which do I go for? Both are going to work out the same amount of cash an eye watering 3000 euro for them both to be done. Thoughts or experiences welcome K:)

Talk to me ......Me and the GF have just booked much cheapness flights from Dublin for end of November for a week. From a quick look at the tinterwebs a place called Puerto Mogan looks ok and so does Agaete (quite and not very touristy and rural). Anyone any comments on where to go and what to do? Staying away from night clubs and Irish bars and the like. Cheers Kit

That's the same as my GF has, the milk frother I think is battery powered....don't quote me on that but i've never seen it plugged in anywhere in the kitchen. All I really know is that if you go into the Nespresso shop in Dublin they give you free coffee at the bar
