24 GrahamElegance 2.0TDI CR170 DSG Satin Grey/Ivory How do I add my entry to the register:confused:?

Some help please, and yes I have rtfm. Can you use sat nav without having the radio on, I cannot see a way to do this and the manual is not very clear. Oh and also should there be a small net storage unit on both sides of the transmission tunnel, or only passenger side as my car? Many thanks in advance to all who can help a newbie get to grips with his car.

Jonathan, Yes defiunitely 50mph limit, a large yellow sticker on the tyre wall warns of maximum speed. On a seperate tack the handbook describes how to adjust the height adjustable front arm rest, does this still apply as my armn rest and storage box seem fixed. Should there be small storage nets on both sides of the transmission tunnel? I only have one on the passengers side. Glasses case!! What a joke I cant even close the lid with a pair of clip on sunglasses in the box.

Jonathan, Problem solved, the spare is a steel wheel with a reduced spec tyre, not a conventional spacesaver, but never the less only rated for 50mph. A bit odd as there appears to be space in the wheel well for an 18" wheel, oh well it must have saved Skoda a few cost for each car with alloys.

Jonathan, I have just checked my one day old 170DSG Elegance, with Luna wheels and 225/40 18 inch wheels. The spare is a full size 205/55 16 inch!! I will get ointo the dealer immediately to see if this is right, if not I don't have a spare tyre!

Having just got my 170DSG Elegance I am surprised not to have rear foot rests, somewhere I read about these, Does anyone else have them, or am I dreaming? Jonathan, I will check the spare and reply later.

Sorry to disagree Beaker but my wifes Golf has had one for two years, for me it is a must. Cuts out all the glare when someone tailgates at night. I was surprised that a tyre pressure monitor is standard, on the Elegance anyway, bur not the auto dimming mirror.

Satin Grey and Ivory. Anyone else got that, I hope it looks Ok, I saw the Satin Grey but with black.

Having waited patiently since 3rd October my satin grey/ivory 170 Elegance will be ready for collection on Wednesday. Extras include sunroof, auto dimming mirror,Wood Decor, 3 Spoke steering wheel with "flappy" paddles, heated washer nozzles and various mats and luggage nets etc. The Superb replaces a failed Passat estate order, after 10 weeks on order the car was delayed by a further 8 plus weeks due to sat nav supply problems, good job as I now get 170 bhp and flappy paddles for roughly the price of the 140 bhp Passat!
