  1. Been using the search function but to no avail! Just wondering if anyone has any figures on the difference in ground clearance between the Mk I vRS and the 1.4 16v Elegance. Searched through the net as well but these figures always seem to be AWOL.. Looking to lower the car and realise i may need a bit more of a drop than most of you vRS loyals, especially since my motor looks like it was designed around a giraffe's bottom half! And the 14" alloys don't help it's cause either! Cheers in advance!
  2. So you like to be nosy! I try and stay pulled into the side until i'm sure nothing else is coming up Or until some ignorant person tries to make up that one place in the infinite queue of traffic.
  3. That's interesting, i had my 1.4 up to 120mph on the speedo - Just to see what the top end was. Of course, this was not undertaken on any roads with speed limits....Obviously the actual was much less, but still not too bad.
  4. Alot! Keep at it though, might feel like your going to lift the car - but i promise you wont! Comes away eventually and you feel bloody great about yourself afterwards!
  5. Good lad! I look forward to your review later on!
  6. Thats a daily drive for me.... :'( Maybe i'll just keep quiet now!
  7. Nobody likes a show off now! But you keep boasting all the way to the pumps in the summer at £1.50 a litre! We'll see who's happier then!
  8. You should be able to disable the parking sensors by disconnecting the power going to the sensor module. Not sure where it's located on the Fabia. You need to have the ignition switched off when you remove it though and it should be easy enough to replace when they're needed again. Not sure if this is helpful in any way?
  9. I do love me petrol! ....Just not the prices, ruddy tax man. Thief in a suit i say!
  10. Of course she's cute! She drives a flippin' Skoda!!
  11. Harsh, very harsh.... Mr. Winton does not deserve that kind of treatment! Anyway, as a sensible driver should you not have hold of the wheel at all times? Or are you some sort of daredevil? Mine does pull slightly to the left, but nothing a limp wristed hold of the wheel won't correct!
  12. is supposed to be working, but the forums are far too interesting to ignore!

  13. Howdy right back at ya! Re-welcome!
  14. Genius!....except it takes me towards the kerb when my attention is lacking!
  15. The 1.4 16v Elegance model? :wonder: I've been running it on petrol and she's been humming along fine!
  16. Hi there, guys and gals. Been a silent watcher of the forums for a while. Helped me sort out the few problems ive had with my baby, so thought id finally get round to introducing myself. I'm Keir, 20, from sunny 'ol Scotland. Nice to meet you all, tinkering will begin as soon as i have the pennies! I already know how welcoming you all are, so cheers in advance Keir.
