The Platinum oil in the link is cheap! This post clears up a dilema for me too, last change I did TPS supplied 5/30 I think but when I was lest at The Phirm they told me to use 10/40. They all run 300bhp+ out of their own 1.8t's so they now what they are on about.

The mothers!!! Just up the road from me too!!! Also watch for pikeys in this area offering to tow cars out. They do tow cars out but unfortunately they carry on driving!!!

I'll have Pirelli P Zero Rossos at one end but the cost to replace them at the other end is very high. I was thinking of just fitting P zero Neros or something similar Thanks mate

Is this advisable? 1 type on the front and another type on the back? Or shouldn't I risk it...

Brand New Skoda Octy vRS Estate MK3 Detail.......
tsp replied to Baker21's topic in Styling and Car Care
Great job on a great car Who's is the car on here, hopefully he'll post later on! Can I ask a couple of questions please? I'm new to detailing, I've slowly been gathering the gear to attack my car in the spring so please bear with me! I notice you use 'Last Touch' when you dry the car, is this a quick detailer and why do you use it? also, Is a foam lance absolutely needed? Sorry to hi-jack the thread and thanks! Tom -
Blue Flame and Piper are 2 other good brands Is it a vRS? I've got a cheap standard down pipe and cat for sale for a vRS
-
I'd quite like the car to look standard again Mark, it's all a bit of research though. I too am fed up with scraping my front bumper. The car has been raised once and I've had to take my LCR splitter off too. I must be getting old And Billy, thanks mate :moon:

I want to return the look of my vRS to standard ish Billy, I'll set it so it looks lowered about 20-30mm mate

Thanks Mark and thanks Bodge! Yeah the fronts are 2 or 3 turns out, puzzled the crap outta me when I first fitted them! Hopefully I can get it right first time... Famous last words!

Brilliant! Thanks mate!

Could someone with a standard vRS (well someone with a vRS with standard suspension) and standard wheels please do me a favour? Could you measure floor to arch on both the front and rear? It would be much appreciated if you could Tom ps - sorry for all the boring topics!

I'm about to adjust my KW variant coilovers because I need to raise the car a tad but before I did I was wondering if anyone knew a rough formula for doing this? What I mean is do a certain set amount of turns equal an amount in height? IE - 3 full turns = 1cm? Obviously there is but I'm doubting if anyone will know, it'd just make things alot easier if anyone did! Cheers, Tom

Thanks mate! I'll grab some

I've got a couple of scratches to touch up on an Octavia vRS 1 wheel, Does anyone know the closest paint to do the job? Or is it just a matter of going to Halfrauds and seeing what they've got? Cheers
