  1. Well spotted, it is indeed, definitely, the meteor colour and confirmed now by skoda uk customer services. Thank god we can now lay this matter to rest
  2. Thanks for that, if it is that colour I will be very pleased. So strange then that the meteor grey on the skoda uk website is completely different!! It certainly ties in with the Special Edition Fabia Reaction colour on Simpsons website. How very odd.........
  3. Loiusv6, I have also had it confirmed that the colour is not metallic. On a scale of one to 10, how confident do you feel that's the new meteor grey as in your photo? Everyone I'm asking has said no one in the country knows the colour yet, and even Skoda customer services have told me the same, so I don't quite know how you got hold of that photograph?!
  4. I'm getting more confused by the minute That battleship grey on that fabia vrs mk1 looks like the one on the skoda uk build your own website. If it's the one, it's a great colour!
  5. I'm afraid Skoda cover themselves for this.....if you look on the Skoda Fabia brochure where all the colours are, they add small print......"because of errors in the print blah blah blah , colours may be different"
  6. Be rest assured, Meteor Grey is definitely a non-metallic colour, the dealer confirmed that yesterday too. If you look carefully at Louisv6's photo...........now I'm no photography expert, but if you look closely enough you can see the colour is darker at the bottom and lighter at the top. Well, if you run the top of that photo alongside the RS+ grey, and stand back a bit ,I would say it's a fairly safe bet that's the colour we're looking at. Simples! But, why on earth all the ruddy secrecy, why don't they just send us the proper photo and be done with it??!!
  7. that's what was allegedly on the website, yes. Looking at your photo more closely, it reminds me of the grey that was on the old skoda estelle years ago!
  8. Lol... That's battleship grey ,so the 'Fabia Reaction' on Simpsons' website could well be close to the colour..
  9. I shouldn't worry, there's still enough black on the car. I'm sure it will prove to be a popular colour ,all the metallics are getting boring now....
  10. Quite fancy black roof and wheels, I think it will look brilliant!
  11. Confirmation from the dealers this morning........... the new 'Meteor Grey' for the Fabia vRS is indeed very close to Battleship Grey in colour. So, as in the picture posted by louisv6 and the colour of the Fabia RS+( with the disgusting 'lime green' wheels ). The sales staff actually spoke to one of the chief designers at a board meeting and described it from the colour chart he had. Ridiculous really..........the Meteor Grey on the Skoda ' build your own' website looks absolutely nothing like it!
  12. Well, I always thought the anthracite would be the best colour for the vRS. Platinum grey is far better.
  13. Just as I thought, it's a bit lighter than in the first photos. However, it still looks stunning. At last a colour scheme that actually matches! Thanks for taking the pics
  14. That's great, will help me decide......
  15. Congratulations on your new motor ,hope you enjoy! It's gained a few admirers Any chance you could post some more photos, in a different setting so we can see the colour in another light? Also, do the eibach springs invalidate the warranty? Do you have them fitted at your own risk? Cheers Bingo
  16. I'm happy with mine, now done 33,000 miles. Without a doubt, the best 'Wolf in sheep's clothing' on the road today!
  17. Thanks for the info guys.I think so long as it's a skoda approved warranty and not one of those alternative 'cheaper' ones, it should be a fairly safe option. I've had it regularly maintained and trust the dealers as I have done for years ,so think I'll probably go for a further 2 years. The alternative is to go for another new car, however, the VAT free deals have unfortunately harmed 2nd hand prices and I won't be prepared to accept a low part exchange.
  18. Cheers for that Brian , that's cheap! Yes you could say I'm a satisfied customer, one of the lucky ones.
  19. Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to take out an extended warranty? I'd like the price for 1,2 and 3 years. I will have had my vRS 3 years next year and considering whether to keep or get another one. It's a cracking car and despite early troubles with the spark plugs, it's been fault free. Extending seems to be the sensible option if the price is right. Advice much appreciated.
  20. 1. October 2010, Robinsons, 31,000 2. Driven in drive/ Sport not used until 3,000 miles. In drive mode most of the time, unless overtaking or wish to wave goodbye to the cars at the side of me, obviously in sport mode. 3. Very little oil used, despite a large chunk of my miles being long journeys and many 'sport' thrusts.
  21. I think the best colour combo is Race blue, black roof and black alloys, but unfortunately ,Race blue wasn't an option when I ordered mine, So, I opted for the next best option: Candy white, black roof and silver alloys. ( Wasn't a fan of the black pack initially, but this has grown on me a little. ) Any good??? You are kidding me, it's a fantastic motor!! 28,000 miles and going strong. The only issues I have had were all down to the wrong spark plugs being fitted, but since ,no problems at all. Not used hardly any oil, the power is amazing, you really would be hard pressed to find performance this good any cheaper. It does appear that one or two have had issues with the vRS mk2 but I guess I have been one of the lucky ones. Don't let it put you off
  22. Sorry to hear you've got rid, I;ve done similar miles and still loving ###ing people off in it How much did you get for it if you dont mind me asking?
