  1. hi, have a 2010 superb elegance with the heated and dimming mirrors. have had no trouble removing mirror, but once out i unscrewed the torx screws of the cracked lens i could not pop it out. didn't want to push it too hard. do i also have to remove the black plastic bottom cover, or the colour coded top cover? thanks.
  2. thanks for replies. am based in ireland, but many uk sites deliver here. Mytyres.co.uk have Michelin Pilot Sport 3's listed for £115 each, and allowing for £10 fitting per tyre, should come to £250, and in my opinion are a far better tyre, I've noticed a great difference since changing over to them. in what way are the pilots better? would it make any difference that i had different make on front and back? sorry for what are probably silly questions folks.
  3. hi, my superb has Pirelli Cinturato P7 94w tyres. they are 225/45r17. i need to replace two of them, and was quoted €270 for the pair, fitted. is this a good price, and should i look at any other/better tyres? many thanks.

  5. might give that atry. also heard somewhere that the relays are poor on 04/05 passats, wonder if these could be at fault.

  8. cheers. wierd thing..... when car was scanned for fault codes it came up on computer as octavia 1????its an octavia 11??? is this because it has the older 1.6 mpi petrol engine?
  9. nice one mate. will try to get a spainish speaker,or might try and get a scrapper part. how do i take out safely remove valve? do i have to drain system of gas first? how would i do this?

  12. back to climatic problem. got it looked at. seems the compressor works. no fault codes showing. aircon tech thought it could be expansion valve that needs to be replaced,but not sure. is there an evaporator temp sensor on climatic?if so where?only ask as climate seems to work for a few seconds when started from cold? ta muchly.
  13. changed the sensor today and still getting minus 16 to 25 reading on a warm day? any ideas,will have a look at the wiring tomorrow, what would cause this? faulty wire? where do the wires go from the sensor?

  19. give yourself an A+ my friend. you just saved mepulling the boot trim off. pulled the nozzle off and got a perfect vertical spray. will give it a good poke with a pin and a soak in some warm water first. thanks mate.
  20. hope to get a vag com on car today.any codes to look for? think sensors or ecu might be at fault. compressor pipe seems freezing cold,but not getting into cabin?
  21. yeah am really hoping its not the compressor.
