  1. The old girl still polishes up well ....
  2. It seemed to be everywhere however appears to have sorted itself wonder if it was some crap on a sensor maybe ?
  3. Thanks UR had those replaced as well along with shockers discs and pads though I may as well get it all over and done with at the same time !
  4. Bizarrely it feels better today ! 😆 Maybe just mentioning it on here has fixed it !
  5. Thanks D4 yeah had them replaced a few Months ago.
  6. I’ll update with a resolution if any for the benefit of any superb owner that may have similar prob in future.
  7. You are welcome to your opinion and the Warranty situation has no bearing at all on my post.
  8. What I have is in my profile age is in my first post 57k miles.
  9. It's under warranty.
  10. With my suspicions I suppose I was just wondering if anyone had similar.
  11. Mmm... No I don't think it's bushes it really was a one day OK the next day not ... I would probably say it's more likely to be a sensor prob or some electrical gremlin but I think if I took it to the dealer at the mo they would say nowt wrong wid dat init .... dsg Yeah all that OK.
  12. Yup this a strange one more so because I cant really describe the problem .... For the past couple of weeks the steering has felt strange.... Not possessed weird but just .... Strange ... I really cant describe it but you know if you have had a car for nearly 10 years when something is different you notice. A little like the Wife but have to say I'm probably more in tune with the car .... Tried drive modes and the same feeling persists. Don't ask me to explain it ... I can tell you it doesn't feel heavier ... I suppose it feels less precise ? No play there when I move the steering wheel everything feels solid enough. No whines, clunks or noise at least unit I try to exit the car .. <sigh> Edit to add tyre pressures OK and 6 month old Pilot sport 5's plenty of tread
  13. Yeah they seem happy enough as long as under 100k miles ! £450 And I’ll be sleeping like a baby dreaming about Intercoolers letting go and destroying the Mechatronic doo dahs 😆 I dunno maybe because I’ve had the warranty every year since new ? Maybe they feel sorry for me ? Maybe they know something about the exhaust flaps I don’t know ….. 🤔
  14. Was 450 nope but come on why not add tea with the dealer principal ? 😆
  15. Great advice ! I’ll update if I have to make any claims so you can all see if it was worth it or not … I’m expecting my exhaust flaps to fail so hopefully they will be covered I would miss the extra performance !
  16. OK You all talked me into it !
  17. I've always had a full warranty on my 280 and although I didn't claim last year I'm still about 1500 quid up over the 10 years I've owned the car. So .... Renewal time .... Quote is £458 with £100 excess for the year. Wadda you all think ? ( Yes this post is so I can blame you all if you say don't and something 'bad' happens ... )
  18. Must be unlucky mines nearly 10 years old and touch wood no flaking yet !
  19. Haha I kind of enjoyed the smelly fingers …
  20. Result 30 seconds and a couple of smelly coolant fingers later ! 😄
  21. I would like to change mine do Skoda do a genuine part without the bag and if so anyone know the number ?
  22. It's been a long time .... When the cars sat on the drive at idle they are closed when you blip the throttle they open or at least they used to .... I think ....
  23. Colin if you keep it go and see these guys I'm now using them instead of MD ... German Car Specialists | Servicing, Diagnostics & Repairs in Sheffield | Autotecnic Done a few jobs for me now and have been 'Superb' !
  24. Apart from adding 10mph to the top speed and knocking 0.05 sec off the 0-60 time I've never noticed any real sound difference no matter what the flaps are up to.
