  1. Hi Bud, Just found out this afternoon that I'm build week 40 too. Same dates quoted. I ordered mine in the last week of June through Forces Cars Direct & Motorpoint of Dartford. I was expecting my new toy a wee bit sooner than this - GRRRR
  2. Guess they must have been PS2's then, it was back in 2004! I'll not have the Avon's for long anyway, as my new toy will arrive in September with Dunlops or Conti's on it. I did try looking for Vred Ultrac Sessanta's but they're pretty hard to come by even online. Evo did a pretty comprehensive tyre test a couple of issus back & they rated Conti Sport Contact 3's & (I think) Uniroyal Rainsport the best. The test isn't up on their website yet though. Finally Re: the Avons, if they're OEM on a £70,000 V8 Morgan Aero with 367bhp, they can't be all bad can they........?
  3. I've had a black VRS for the last 2 years & it's a nightmare! It looks amazing when polished, but within an hour it's always covered in a layer of dust! It also shows up scuffs, chips & scratches really badly. I've ordered my new one in Anthracite, I've never seen one on the roads & it's even really hard trying to find pictures of one on the net!
  4. Hi mate, I've had Avon ZZ3's on my 08 Octy VRS for the last 3 months & I really like them, very smooth, quiet & grippy-they look cool too! If they're good enough for Morgan to fit them on their Aero Supersports, they're good enough for me! I used to run an MG ZR160 with Michelin PS3's & I wasn't happy with their wear-rate at all. Also - Buy British,Not French!
  5. Due my Anthracite VRS hatch (diesel) at some point in September - Not got a build-week yet though! Buying from Motorline Skoda in Dartford through Forces Cars Direct.
  6. Brlliant! Thanks buddy, I definitely think I made the right choice!
  7. Well, I took the plunge today & ordered a new Octavia VRS CRD in Anthracite (to replace my black 2008 one). I've specced it with the leather interior & I was just wondering if anyone has any piccies of the leather seats? The only ones I can find online are from the LE pre-facelift version. Thanks Guys!
  8. Looks nice mate, makes a change from standard. Funny how we're all different though, I love a white car with black alloys! http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/245587/renaultsport_twingo_cup.html http://www.elementwheels.com/prodimages/r8f14.jpg
  9. Hi everyone, I currently run a Black 2008 VRS 2.0CR. I'm on the brink of ordering a facelift new one. I'm dabbling with the idea of getting an estate this time & I'm also thinking about a colour change. I've found these fairly official looking pictures online of a UK registered white VRS with black alloys, but I can't find any mention of black alloys in Skoda's literature. Does anyone have any idea whether black wheels on a facelift are an option? They look like official Skoda wheels, not aftermarkets.... http://www.autogaleria.pl/tapety/img/skoda/skoda_octavia_vrs_2010_02_m.jpg http://www.autogaleria.pl/tapety/img/skoda/skoda_octavia_vrs_2010_01_m.jpg Thanks!
  10. Hi All, I have a 2008 Octavia VRS CR & have been looking around for panel filters and/or induction kits. However, I can only find products advertised for the VRS TDI (PD). Does the CR use the same air filter as the PD or do manufacturers not make any for the CR yet? Alternatively, would a filter for an Audi A4 with the common-rail diesel fit? If any one has any info or part numbers for Piper Cross / Green Cotton / K&N etc. I'd greatly appreciate it! I used to have a Green filter in my old Fabia VRS & did notice a difference. Thanks for reading my first post!
