Cheers that's really helpful. 👍   If this nice looking little car is still there after the week end I might just go for it.  But I'm not paying more than 7 grand maximum for a 12 year old Roomster however good it is so if he won't come down to that then someone else can have it!

Sounds sensible. I paid £500 for mine lol

Thank you for your help Pete and Tech1e.  I'm only going by what I can see online.  This one (loom only) is available in Europe and has a couple of connectors included but it is for a 6v chassis.  Is that right for a 2012 (and it is a 12 plate 103 PS Pete btw)   What chassis should I be looking for?   It does sound a bit of a shame that Skoda is starting to delete these Roomster parts. 😟   My daughter likes the idea of the space for her small electric wheel chair but perhaps we should be looking at a Yeti?  (Although, aren't they now obsolete too?)

@Tech1e Do you happen to know the correct Skoda part number of the kit I need?  That way I might do better with my searching.

That looks like it would be suitable.

  3. They aren't deleting all parts. When they get accessory kits made up they will purchase the items and make so many thousands of those kits. When they run out they will re-evaluate the requirement for the kits and weigh it up against predicted sales. The Roomster has been out of production for a number of years and I can imagine the number being sold now by main dealers is pretty small, so not worth them doing it.

I'm seeing signs of availability (on partslink24) on kits suited to Roomies built on or after 28/05/2012, is the one you're looking at a 12-reg or 62?

If the latter there's a decent chance it was built after that date.

Sorry, but cross-checking those part numbers against what's on offer at LLL parts suggests they're gone too. ☹️

Have you @Rheumy got an image of the connector involved? May well be able to still buy that?

No connector plug on the harnesses. The cruise control loom just has the terminals to plug into the BCM, the stalk connector, and the engine control unit.

It is possible to make one, but by the time you have got the terminals, the labour of making the harness, the stalks (£130), no one would pay it.

I've fitted plenty of them in the past.

Hi there bud. I got a simple radio replacement but I don't have these red and yellow wires anymore. Which should I swap therefore, because radio is permanently on, causing central locking to not lock doors.

What are you connecting those plugs to? The central door locking has nothing to do with the perm and ignition wires being inverted, that's because the alarm wire is connected to something.

The reason i was unsure is the fact that there are 3 wires coming off the loom in the diagram that he 3rd being the connector for the brake pedal, and only two wires coming off the loom that i have.
It threw me off as i have seen other looms with that connector attatched aswell as several other wires.

are you able to explain how you would wire this up please? I have seen that you offer this install on facebook so appreciate if you may not want to give me the details etc. I did consider coming to you to get this fitted but i think im 3-4 hours away from you and i dont currently have the time to travel down so hoping just to try and get it sorted myself if possible.

    cheers

The brake pedal wire is just a 12v ignition feed.

Thanks for the advice here. I was able to get the female pin connected to switched live.

What I then struggled with is connecting the male pin to the bulkhead connection. It doesn't simply slip into pin 10 on t11a and I can't seem to get the connector to release from the block to remove the locking clip for repinning.

Also can I confirm if on a 2004/2005 pre facelift ATD used t11a or t11b I have both connectors and the pins on both are free / unused.

    Thanks again

    Tom

100% either t11a or t11b, they all have the white wire to the ECU.

@Tech1e is what I said above wrong then? I'm confused.

I'll be honest I hadn't read your reply, I just said what needed connecting.

You are correct, the pedal connection is merely borrowing the ignition live. Can just as easily come from the fuse box, from pin 2 of the headlight switch, or from the relay board. Whatever is easiest for the installer.
