Hi guys need some advice as stated above my logbook states my 2001 vrs is a ambiente tdi . I have spoken to the garage that originally sold the car from new and they have in there records that it is a ambient, but they then searched skoda own system and it states that it is definitely a vrs the vin numbers all checkout so i am at a loss as to why . I sent a covering letter to dvla to ask them to change the model spec but it has come back as the tdi again . I am in no doubt that this is a genuine vrs as i have every bit of main dealer service history from new . any idears ?

I have just fitted an alpine CDE 103bt head unit and can thoroughly recommend it has the ipod dock which you can scroll through from the head unit ,has usb pen drive playback ,but for me the best part is the bluetooth parrot function that syncs with your phone and with the supplied external mike makes hands free mobile calls a breeze all for £160 . The sound quality is a lot better even with standard speakers . I have since replaced the front speakers with some infinity components which did take a bit of cutting and bending of the door metal work to fit properly and added a small sub in the boot to boost the bass. I took the advice from others here about running the power cable for the sub under the car as i didnt fancy stripping out the glove box and scuttle panel to run the wire

Hi all . Just bought my silver 51 pate vrs and i love it , Had it remapped by John DNA tuning in stratford which has made a lot of diference . I have read through loads of posts about the coolent tempreture sensor, as mine intermitently works but i cant find out where it is located on the engine , so please point me in the right direction ,also is it an easy job to replace. I have heard a lot of talk about buying crap ones off ebay I bought my green one from there from Germanautspares are they angy good , great site keep up the good work Jon
